Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), the official importer and distributor of BMW in the Philippines, has announced the arrival of the all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, an innovative new concept that combines a Sedan’s dynamic, sports genes with the practicality and versatility of a Touring.

“Aesthetic appeal, space, and functionality: these three make up the all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, a high-calibre addition to the BMW 3 Series range that targets the premium mid-size segment,” said Maricar Parco, ACC President. “The new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo exudes the performance of a sports sedan, but at the same time offers immense practicality and extra space that can be used in many ways—making it the only model of its kind in its segment today.”

The new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo emits an aesthetic and emotional appeal, by demonstrating a distinctive presence on the road and offering similarly pronounced driving pleasure. All of which allow the new Gran Turismo to make a compelling case for itself as both an elegant business carriage and a dynamic, comfortable tourer.

Typical BMW proportions, four doors with frameless windows, a coupe-style, gently downward-sloping roofline, and a large, automatically opening and closing tailgate define the distinctive exterior character of the new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo. An active rear spoiler—the first of its type on a BMW—provides visual lightness and reduces lift at touring speeds.

Spacious interiors define the vehicle as the front and rear passenger seat are adjusted to offer additional legroom, unmatched by both the Sedan and Touring. The lounge-style ambiance provides both drivers and passengers a relaxed, comfortable drive.

The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is 200 millimeters longer in total than the BMW 3 Series Sedan, comes with a 110-millimetre longer wheelbase, and stands 81 millimetres taller. However, the clever use of proportions, surfaces, and lines ensure that the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is immediately recognisable as a member of the new BMW 3 Series range.

With a 52-litre boot capacity, the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo provides a higher degree of space and comfort than the Touring by allowing for intelligent space management. A larger load aperture and high opening tailgate makes it easier to access.

The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is powered by a 2.0 litre in-line 4-cylinder diesel engine with the award-winning BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology that is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission for the BMW 320d Gran Turismo variant.

In line with BMW’s thrust for greener mobility, each BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo runs with BMW EfficientDynamics. Features such as optimised aerodynamics (including curtains, air breathers, and an active rear spoiler), the Auto Start-Stop function, Brake Energy Regeneration, and ECO PRO mode allow the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo to significantly reduce fuel consumption and boost efficiency.

BMW ConnectedDrive technology further showcases the innovation of the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo. Convenience and safety-enhancing assistance systems, as well as mobile phone and Bluetooth technology integration provide unmatched convenience for the tech-savvy.

The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is available in Luxury, Modern, and Sport lines.
