The Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), BMW’s official local importer and distributor, has finalized a deal with the Philippine Government putting 200 BMW luxury vehicles at the beck and call of VIPs attending the 2015 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) event to be held in the country next year. Representing the two sides were Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario and ACC Chairman Governor Jose Alvarez, both of whom affixed their signature to the agreement in a ceremony held at the Makati Shangri-La.
Specifically, BMW 7 Series long-wheelbase sedans, BMW 5 Series sedans, and BMW 5 Series Gran Turismos will be servicing heads of states, government representatives, and private sector leaders from 21 APEC member countries.
The flagship BMW 7 Series boasts uncompromised luxury, power, comfort, and exclusivity. On the outside are short overhangs, clear side lines, and a long bonnet, while on the inside is a roomy cabin with features such as ambient lighting, rear-seat entertainment, and soft-close doors, among others. Powering the 7 Series sedans is a BMW TwinPower Turbo engine accompanied by an excellent chassis, and for fuel efficiency, BMW’s ECO PRO mode.
Meanwhile, the BMW 5 Series exudes an elegant aura fit for a VIP event, with a sharper front and rear for a distinct BMW look. Additionally, increased storage compartments and boot capacities inside allow for maximum passenger comfort. BMW’s EfficientDynamics also come with every 5 Series model to ensure optimum fuel mileage.
