Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) turned over a total of 84 fire trucks and emergency rescue vehicles to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) at the Lapu-Lapu randstand in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City last October 15.

The ceremony was attended by officials and representatives of IPC, BFP officials headed by director Jose Embang Jr, Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government Eduardo Año, representatives from JROG Marketing, and guest of honor Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go.

In the first turnover held last February 11, IPC delivered 74 firefighting and rescue vehicles. Together with the second turnover, these represent bulk of fire trucks and rescue vehicles which the BFP requires for its project. The latest turnover consisted of 76 FVR 1,000-gallon fire trucks, 3 FVR rescue vehicles, and 5 CYZ52 2,500-gallon fire trucks with aerial ladders.

The ever dependable and reliable vehicles form an integral part of the BFP’s modernization plans, which include providing durability, safety and comfort to hundreds of local government units that either have no vehicles or still use old trucks in their fire stations.

IPC president Hajime Koso remarked during the turnover ceremonies, “IPC continues in its mission to contribute to society and be the Filipino people’s responsible partner by providing the most durable, reliable trucks. With the Bureau of Fire Protection modernizing its equipment and vehicles, IPC and the Isuzu brand can help the BFP attain its objectives to protect and serve the country in the best way possible against fire and other calamities.”

IPC gave its assurance that the BFP will have full support wherever the trucks may be deployed in the country. Its 43 locations nationwide offer excellent after sales support and guaranteed parts availability.
