Korea’s oldest car manufacturer has a big surprise for all this 2018.

Kia has released its newest addition to its diverse lineup of cars namely Soul. Designed at the company’s design center in California, a signature angular exterior makes this compact crossover distinct on the road.

The combination results in something that melds both design innovations into a package.

The Soul’s angular exterior design directly translates into what car reviewers love about the interiors–space. Kia Soul boasts a whopping 2860L of total interior space. It has a dedicated capacity of up to 530L for rear cargo space and that number balloons to a massive 1400L when you fold the rear seats down flat.

Meanwhile, the interior appointments like the infotainment system with dedicated steering wheel controls, bucket front seats and premium dashboard material result in something surprisingly refined.

Another Kia design innovation called the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) was a collaborative effort from California and Namyang, South Korea headquarters.
Aside from giving a sporty feel for its drivers, the DCT comes with a 7- speed automatic transmission that helps significantly in fuel economy and efficiency.

These innovations and their fusion into the Soul show that Kia is not afraid of the future and their modern approach to industrial and mechanical design ensures that the brand will continue to surprise consumers.
