Chevron Philippines, Inc. (CPI) entered a partnership agreement with Grab Philippines to provide fuel discounts to its growing pool of drivers.

This move is among Chevron’s numerous efforts to make quality and reliable service more accessible to businesses and motorists across the Philippines.

As part of the partnership, more than 10,000 SavePlus cards will be distributed to Grab drivers in various cities. The Save Plus cards will entitle Grab drivers to Caltex discounts: PHP 2 off per liter on gasoline and PHP 1 off per liter on Diesel.

Additionally, Grab drivers purchasing gasoline will get additional rebate. The accumulated rebate can be redeemed in the form of weekly Top Up Load and virtual money that allows GrabCar drivers to pick up more passengers.

“Partnering with leading transportation solution, Grab Philippines, reinforces Chevron’s commitment in encouraging business growth for emerging MSMEs in the country. Our partnership allows us to be of greater service to our motoring clients, empowers more businesses to prosper and provides employment opportunities to more Filipinos,” CPI country chairman Peter Morris shared.

“This partnership with Chevron Philippines is for the benefit of Grab drivers who are usually affected by fuel hikes. Providing them with quality Caltex gasoline at a discounted price not only allows them to save money, but also ensures that their vehicles – which are their main source of livelihood – are well-maintained,” Grab Philippines’ country head Brian Cu said.

Caltex now offers fuel with the new Clean & Glide technology, which offers a smoother motoring experience through optimized engine protection, fuel economy and maximized power with continued use. Caltex fuels, including Platinum and Silver with Techron, are Euro 4 compliant and deliver lesser emissions.
