    Forland, a leading truck manufacturer at the core of the Foton group, in partnership with Solid Machinery and Diesel Parts (SMDPI) has recently  launched its first-ever showroom in the country last June 15, 2017, at North EDSA, in Quezon City.  Consequently, the two also held a ceremony the day after, for its first knocked-down (KD) factory located in Meycauayan, Bulacan. Joining Forland general manager Mr. Wang tao, SMDPI chairman Mr. Henry Chua Sr. and SMDPI director Mr. Henry Chua II, were distinguished  trucking industry personalities, and media guests.

    In its ceremony, Forland assured the country of efficient and reliable trucks for its present and future infrastructure projects.  As there are far distances and heavy load requirements expected,  Forland’s trucks would  be able to aid in the implementation of projects and plans that include transportation, water resource management, sanitation, flood mitigation, maritime ports/harbors, social infrastructure, energy collection and generation, communications technology and more.

    “At present, the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ proposed by China corresponds exactly to‘2017-2022 Development Plan’ presented by the Philippines, so the cooperation space is huge for China and the Philippines. Forland, as a professional truck manufacturer, is honored to participate in the cooperation, (and) pledges support to provide premium and cost-effective products for the Philippine market,” said Mr. Wang Tao in his keynote speech during the launch.
