Hino Motors Philippines (HMP) formally turned over a fleet of heavy and light trucks to local freight-forwarding company Inland Corporation at a ceremony in HMP’s Canlubang plant November 8.
The fleet, consisting of 10 units of W342L light-duty trucks with aluminum bodies and eight units of heavy-duty ten-wheeler trucks, is set to bolster Inland’s move to expand its operations according to an official statement released by Hino.
“We are confident in our capability to support Inland Corporation’s logistics needs and business growth targets. Total support is our mantra and we are committed in delivering this promise to Inland Corporation and our other clients,” said HMP Chairman Vicente T. Mills, Jr.
Engaged in assembly and distribution of Hino trucks and buses in the Philippines for over 40 years, HMP saw its sales grow by 46 percent from last year and aims to strengthen its foothold in the local market for trucking by supplying 150 trucks to different businesses by 2017.
