    First revealed at the Chicago Auto Show in February of last year, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is set to launch the all-new Pilot, adding their premium SUV to the local SUV wars.

    The all-new Pilot has been re-engineered and redesigned from the ground-up, and now sports a sleek new design that is modern, yet commanding and muscular. It incorporates new premium exterior features such as brighter and more efficient signature LED lighting for the front and rear. It also features a well-appointed interior with new soft-touch materials, LED ambient lighting, and Honda’s Display Audio system.

    The all-new Pilot will be powered by a  direct injected 3.5-liter SOHC i-VTEC Earth Dreams Technology engine. Together with Honda’s Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) cylinder deactivation technology, the Pilot promises to be more refined and fuel-efficient than the previous model. The all-new Pilot is also equipped with a new Intelligent Variable Torque Management (i-VTM4) All Wheel Drive system that delivers more dynamic handling and confident all-weather performance. This system is paired with an all-new selectable Intelligent Traction Management system featuring Normal, Mud, Sand, and Snow modes.

    The all-new Pilot shall be equipped with Honda Sensing, the brand’s advanced driver-assistive technology that helps prevent or effectively respond to dangerous driving situations. Using this system, the Pilot shall come with added  safety functions such as  Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC); Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS); Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS); and Road Departure Mitigation (RDM).

    Originally designed for the North American market, the Pilot is made at Honda’s Lincoln, Alabama plant.
