The 2016 Manila International Auto Show is ready to take over the combined venues of the World Trade Center and the Philippine Trade Training Center next week, April 7 to 10. One of the country’s foremost automotive trade show will be occupying a total 30,000 square meters of exhibition space to showcase the motoring industry’s latest products and innovations.
Presented by Worldbex Services International, the 2016 MIAS is expected to surpass the success of its predecessors. Themed as “Smart Mobility,” this year’s trade show will put the spotlight on smart technologies, including vehicles that can maneuver themselves and cars with interactive cruise controls, among others. Those attending will also be greeted by a lineup of booths that will exhibit how fun and safe today’s smarter cars are.
In addition to the indoor display, guests can also expect two customized tent areas and outdoor exhibition areas where the Guinness World Record holder and precision driver Russ Swift will be doing the world’s fastest parking stunts. Back at the Main Hall, new modes ranging from entry-level hatchbacks to luxury SUVs from major brands will be put on display. Moreover, tough and agile SUVs will show off their capabilities on two custom-made off-road tracks on the MIAS front lawn area. On- and off-road test drives will also be made available for those who are interested in the vehicles.
Over at the aftermarket tents, attendees looking to customize their rides can browse through a wide display of accessories, equipment, and all else auto-related wares including wheels and tires to audio units and car care kits. Lastly, the Philippine Trade Training Center will be home to meticulously restored classics and outrageously customized sports cars as MIAS presents this year’s Custom and Classic Car Competition.
