Always on full throttle to improve the lives of Filipinos, the Suzuki EngageXperience event was held in Bataan last July 9-10, 2024. Organized by Suzuki Motor Philippines, the event put the performance of the brand’s two-wheelers to the test in a unique ride that included exciting challenges with a focus on community engagement — all while experiencing the capabilities of Suzuki motorcycles as they explored the scenic landscapes of the Bataan Peninsula.
The Suzuki EngageXperience Challenge
The Suzuki EngageXperience was more than just a ride. Divided into teams, participants tackled challenges that tested their motorcycling skills and teamwork to help hundreds of Aeta families from Bagac, Morong, and Mariveles. From the versatile V-STROM 250 SX and Raider J Crossover to the recently introduced Smash Fi to the automatic models Avenis and the very convenient and fuel-efficient Burgman Street EX, each rider had the perfect ride to tackle and enjoy the challenges.
Challenge 1: Group Fuel Efficiency: This challenge put the spotlight on the practicality of Suzuki
motorcycles. Throughout the journey, teams had to be mindful of their fuel consumption,
highlighting the efficiency of their bikes.
Challenge 2: Palengke Challenge: Here, the focus shifted to community support. Each group
received a budget to shop for relief goods to create the most relief packs possible, ensuring they contained essential items like noodles, canned goods, and hygiene kits.
Challenge 3: Load Up Your Burgman: This part of the Suzuki EngageXperience challenge showcased the versatility and cargo capacity of the Burgman Street EX. Teams competed to strategically load the most items onto the Burgman while maintaining safe riding practices.
After packing the goods, the convoy proceeded to Banawang Elementary School, where over 200 Aeta families were convened. The convoy grew even more impressive as hundreds of local Suzuki club riders from Bataan joined this heartfelt moment. These Indigenous communities were gathered with the aid of Banawang Barangay Captain Menandro Trinidad and Barangay Health Worker Babylen Brillo. In addition to the home essentials provided by Suzuki, the participants also pledged toys and school supplies to the kids, which further enhanced the spirit of bayanihan among the participants.
Following the heart-warming distribution, the group went full throttle again to Mt. Samat, enjoying the breathtaking views and the thrill of navigating the exciting roads on board their Suzuki motorcycles, which are perfectly suited for the steep highways and twisties of the journey.
The Suzuki EngageXperience concluded with a fun-filled fellowship night at La Jolla Beach Resort, solidifying the camaraderie within the Suzuki family and the media/vlogger community.
Suzuki: Life Companion, On and Beyond the Road
The recent Suzuki EngageXperience was not just an event — it was a powerful embodiment of
Suzuki’s role as a reliable partner. It brought together moto media and vloggers, as well as riders and the community, for a thrilling experience, sealing Suzuki’s connection with all its stakeholders. The event also hinted bigger things to come with the brand gearing up for its 50th anniversary in the Philippines. Since Suzuki’s 1975 joint venture with its local distributor, the brand looks forward to a milestone packed with exciting developments. This anniversary marks a new chapter for Suzuki, further solidifying their commitment to be a “life companion on and beyond the road.”
