MobilityPetron Blaze-powered Mazda wins Kalayaan Cup 12-hour Endurance Run

At the 2019 Petron Kalayaan Cup 12-hour endurance run held at the Clark International Speedway last June 12, Team Race Form Garage 2233, driving a Mazda Miata Global Cup Car, emerged as the overall champion. Powered by Petron Blaze 100 Euro 6—recognized as the best gasoline in the country—the Miata was able to complete 274 laps of the 4.2-km track during the 12-hour run. Team Race Form Garage 2233 is managed by Francis Godinez with Antonio Brias, Don Pastor, Enrique Hormillo, and Jason Choachuy as drivers.

Petron-sponsored teams also performed well in other Independence Day race categories. Driving a Honda Civic, Mon Dimapilis, Danby Yaptinchay, Ditrie Villacorta, and Allen Escoto of the Petron Blaze Racing Team won the Class 2 championship with 220 laps. At the same time, Carlo Consumido’s Petron Tora Tora team with Chad Parian, Walter Rillorta, Francis de los Reyes, and Paolo Yaptinchay on a Honda Civic hatchback finished 1st runner-up in the Class 1 category.

The Petron Kalayaan Cup is an endurance race traditionally held during the Philippine Independence Day. A car is driven by a team of alternating drivers attempting to complete as many laps as possible in the race circuit. The official fuel for all competing cars is Petron Blaze 100 Euro 6 with its Triaction performance advantages, (1) better engine protection for longer engine life; (2) better mileage for longer drives; and (3) better power.

As the industry leader, Petron is also a major force in Philippine motorsports, providing support for such events as the Toyota Vios Cup, Formula 4 Southeast Asia, Asian Karting Series, IAME Karting, Kalayaan Cup, Rainforest Challenge (Diesel), to name a few.
