With music streaming, charging, navigation, and a hotspot running on your phone while you’re on the road, you’re just a few watts short of a serious thermal problem. Chevy is looking at at solution that’s as simple as it is ingenious: Active Phone Cooling. The system, which will be in place in some of the US 2016 models equipped with wireless charging, gives your phone a dedicated A/C vent to keep the temperature down. Those expecting a futuristic solution might be a little disappointed, but really, it’s not rocket science. No word yet on when a similar feature will be hitting out shores, but given the tropical heat here, we shouldn’t have to wait long.
