MobilitySuzuki shows dominance in Davao GP

Team Suzuki showed their mastery in motor racing after winning six trophies and five championship titles at the third round of the Super Series Nationwide Championship–Davao GP held last June 16 at SM Davao Ecoland.

Team Suzuki-VMan Racing’s April King Mascardo was dominant in his hometown winning three championship titles. The Davaoeño bounced back from last year’s disappointment by securing pole position and winning in all his three racing categories: the Super Underbone Sealed Engine, the Super Underbone Open, and the Super Scooter Sealed Engine.

Fellow Suzuki-VMan Racing rider Rmand Salandanan won the Skydrive Sports Cup category. Meanwhile, Roel Rubin and Djereck Ondillo took first and second runners up, respectively, at the Regional Underbone Grand Prix Novice/Intermediate categories. Nikko Nambatac took the third spot at the Raider Breed Wars–Raider R150 FI.

Team Suzuki-VMan Racing hope to repeat their success when they take on the Bacolod GP on the fourth round of the Super Series Nationwide Championship July 14.

Aside from the Davao GP, Suzuki also successfully won two races of their own, the Skydive Sports Cup and Raider Breed Wars. The Suzuki Skydrive Sport Cup gave contestants a good grip on Suzuki’s Skydrive Sports. The Skydrive Sport finishers were Rmand Salandan (champion), Polo Arellano (first runner-up) and Deo Pondoc (second runner-up).

Suzuki also had an all-female category of the Skydrive Sport Cup giving female riders a chance to experience the scooter on the track. Yna Marie Enriquez emerged as the champion with Angelie Sala and Richelle Del Rosario taking the second and third spots, respectively.

Suzuki’s Raider Breed Wars also allowed the participants the chance to race with Suzuki’s Raider R150 Fi. Polo Arellano placed first in the category with Deo Pondoc and Nikko Nambatac finished second and third, respectively.

Suzuki’s Skydrive Sport Cup and Raider Breed Wars are powered by Racing Boy and Pirelli.
