We finally got to meet Ford Philippines’ new Managing Director Kay Hart at an intimate meet and greet yesterday, June 11, in Pasay City. Together with FGP’s Anika Salceda-Wycoco (AVP for Communications, FGP), regional officials Matt Bradley (President, Ford ASEAN) & Neal McCarthy (Communications Director, Ford Motor Company) were present to formally introduce Kay Hart to local motoring media.

Hailing from New Zealand, Hart officially assumed her position on June 1, with fourteen years of experience under her belt from the various positions she’s held in Fleet, Sales Planning, Dealer Operations, Parts and Service, and Marketing Communications with Ford.

Prior to moving to the Philippines, Hart was based in Shanghai where she served as the Field Operations & Dealer Development Director of Ford Motor Company – Asia Pacific & Africa. While stationed there, she was responsible for the development and growth of Ford’s distribution network across the region as well as the rollout of Ford’s Brand@Retail global dealership facility design standard.

Other positions she’s held were Vice President for Marketing at Ford Thailand, and National Sales Manager at Ford New Zealand.

This is Hart’s first Managing Director position, and she joins FGP just as the company posted its best-ever performance for the month of May, with overall retail sales jumping 82 percent year-over-year to 1,230 units.

“With the introduction of more segment-leading One Ford vehicles and a growing network of authorized Ford dealerships, we remain absolutely committed to growing our business and welcoming even more new-to-Ford customers to our showrooms across the Philippines,” said Hart.

Best of luck, Kay! Welcome to the Philippines!
