Helping ease the hassles of commuting in the metro, Bank of the Philippine Islands together with Ayala Malls launched a fusion of banking and automated transportation payment in one convenient card that fits all lifestyles.
The BPI-Ayala Malls Amore Visa prepaid beep card, the first lifestyle loyalty and transit card in the Philippines, was made in partnership with Ayala Malls, AF Payments Inc., and Gemalto. This reloadable prepaid card can be used as payment for shopping, dining, among others in Ayala Malls and stores accepting Visa cards. Unlike regular Visa cards, the Amore Visa prepaid beep card efficiently simplifies payment for MRT/LRT, BGC Bus, HM Transport’s Airport Loop bus, Citylink, and Frohlich Point to Point (P2P) bus fares through its reloadable and tap-and-go system, allowing users to easily get around the metro cashless and without the need to queue to purchase tickets.
Released just in time for its 165th anniversary, Simon Paterno, head of financial products and services at BPI shared: “At BPI, we want to be able to address the changing needs of our clients. By fusing banking and transport together, shoppers can enjoy cashless payments for their purchases at Ayala Malls, plus the benefits of beep, which will soon be extended to other bus services.”
The prepaid beep card is available at the Ayala Malls Facebook page. Interested parties can also apply for an Amore Visa prepaid card at Ayala Malls Concierge and at UP Town Center Urban Turf. Card holders earn points for every purchase. Accumulated points can be used to purchase items at Ayala Malls. The card also lets holders enjoy exclusive Ayala Malls perks, such as unlimited use of customer lounges, discounts at Ayala Cinemas, and VIP seats at mall events.
Card holders can load up their beep and Visa wallets at LRT/MRT over the counter or via ticket vending machines, BPI cash acceptance machines, and other loading partners.
