One year after launching the Polo Sedan, Volkswagen Philippines has also made available the Polo Hatchback variant of the two-time World Rally Championship winner, the VW Polo.
The new Polo Hatchback sports a 1.6-liter, Euro4 emission standard compliant multi-point injection gasoline power plant capable of producing 105Ps of power @ 5,250rpm and maximum torque of 153Nm@ 3,750rpm. The competitive hatchback’s engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Some of the safety features of the Polo Hatchback are: anti-lock braking system, anti-theft with immobilizer and interior monitoring system, crash-safe body design, front and rear seatbelts, SRS dual front airbags, and park distance control. Additionally, ISOFIX Ready Seats are available for the rear seats.
Volkswagen’s signature look and design is evident from the Polo Hatchback’s sporty yet classy aesthetics. On the exterior are halogen headlamps with range adjustment, front and rear fog lamps, chrome-accented front grille, and 15-inch “Riverside” alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the Polo Hatchback receives a multi-function leather steering wheel, “Livon” fabric seat material, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, RCD 320 with radio, CD, MP3, Aux-in, SD card/USB slot, Bluetooth connectivity, air-conditioning system and a sizeable rear boot.

The Volkswagen Polo Hatchback sells for PHP 950,000, with colors copper orange, candy white, night blue metallic, flash red, and carbon steel grey. It’s available in all Volkswagen showrooms together with an attractive financing package and a PHP 95,000 cash down.
