Enhanced with 360 Reality Audio with Headtracking, 360 Upmix for cinematic content, and a 10-band equalizer with custom gaming and background music models, the WH-1000XM6 offers a deeply personalized and spatial listening experience. Additionally, the foldable structure and magnetic enclosure case offer premium portability without compromising on comfort and design.

Hooked on the first swipe: How to make audiences stop, watch, and remember

On June 17, 2025, the Claro M. Recto Hall at PUP Sta. Mesa transformed into a hub of insights, energy, and creative exchange as MARK3TR3STAS Production brought Swipe Culture: Marketing That Wins Attention in Seconds to life. With 270 attendees, the event exceeded expectations—not only in numbers but in impact, delivering a fast-paced, high-value program that reflected exactly what it preached: win attention quickly, and make it stick.

A Seminar That Practiced What It Preached

In the age of micro-content, the challenge isn’t just to inform—it’s to resonate. And Swipe Culture did just that. The seminar was a compact, three-hour masterclass that demonstrated how speed, emotion, and clarity can work together to spark long-lasting audience engagement. The post-event metrics speak volumes: a total post reach of 49.9K, over 350.6K views, and 15.5K interactions across content channels, showing how well the Swipe Culture message resonated beyond the venue.

    Speaker Highlights: Lessons That Landed

The seminar featured powerhouse speakers who distilled their years of experience into punchy, memorable lessons:

    • Barbie S. Muhlack opened the seminar with a core principle: “Write for the ear, shoot for the eye, aim for the heart.” She emphasized the need for strong, clear, and emotionally resonant content—words that flow smoothly, visuals that pop, and stories that stay human. It set the tone for a day of meaningful learning.
    • Jonas D. Ynares flipped expectations with the statement, “Sometimes the best way to hook the consumer is by not hooking them.” His talk highlighted the paradox of over-selling and reminded marketers that subtlety, storytelling, and strategic pacing can sometimes outperform flashy hooks.
    • James Patrick Dala introduced the concept of “Micro Content – Macro Impact”, reminding attendees that short-form content isn’t just filler; it’s fuel. “When scaled tight, it drives frequency, top-of-mind awareness, and relevance,” he said. He made it clear that micro content doesn’t replace big campaigns—it supports and strengthens them.

    The Swipe Culture Takeaway

If there’s one thing the audience took home from the Swipe Culture seminar, it’s this: Attention is the new currency—but connection is the ultimate goal. Whether you’re creating a 7-second Reel or a full-blown campaign, every frame, word, and beat must serve a purpose. Micro storytelling isn’t just about speed; it’s about strategy, intention, and emotional resonance.

Engagement On and Off the Stage

Live performances from Joshua Kim, Marron, and Eyji brought energy and cultural flair to the event, blending pop, rap, and soul in ways that mirrored how marketers tap into cultural beats to reach audiences. Their sets weren’t just fillers—they were part of the story, showing how creativity and emotion drive attention.

Attendees were also treated to raffles and giveaways, adding excitement and appreciation to the experience.

Special thanks were given to hosts Axcel Bacunawa and Simon Tan, who kept the audience engaged, the energy high, and the program flowing smoothly from start to finish.

Thanks also to the event’s partner sponsors, everyone left with more than insights—they left with memories, smiles, and a bit of loot.

Swipe Culture didn’t just talk about winning attention. It earned it—and kept it.

POCO also introduces a bold new look to mark this evolution: the POCO F7 Cyber Silver Edition, which features a Snapdragon logo on the back, symbolizing the fusion of explosive performance with expressive design.

The launch was also highlighted by the debut of Rydr, POCO’s first-ever virtual avatar. Embodying speed, power, and intelligent action, Rydr reflects POCO’s ongoing pursuit of breakthrough performance and deeper engagement with the tech-savvy generation.

“With the POCO F7, we’re advancing our commitment to redefine flagship performance by making it accessible to a wider audience. The launch of the POCO F7 Cyber Silver Edition, with its distinctive aesthetic, further embodies our vision to connect more deeply with a new generation by blending futuristic style and powerful technology,” said Angus Ng, head of product marketing at POCO Global.

    Flagship Power, Intelligent Performance

At the core of the POCO F7 is the recently debuted Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, built on an all-big-core CPU architecture that enables faster, more efficient processing. With an AnTuTu benchmark score of 2,084,535, it achieves over 30% performance improvement over the previous generation.

To keep this power stable under pressure, the POCO F7 features the brand’s most advanced and effective cooling system yet: a 6000mm 3D Dual-Channel IceLoop System with the biggest Loop Heat Pipe ever used in a POCO device.

Supporting this is a 6500mAh (typ) battery, the largest in the POCO F Series. Paired with 90W HyperCharge, which charges the battery to 80% in just 30 minutes, it delivers extended screen time with minimal downtime. For added convenience, the POCO F7 supports 22.5W reverse charging, offering broad compatibility across Xiaomi and other major smartphone brands.

Translating performance into real-world responsiveness, the POCO F7 runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2. On the gaming front, WildBoost Optimization 4.0 introduces additional gaming enhancements, including support for 1.5K Super Resolution and Smart Frame Rate, which can achieve up to 120 FPS in top mobile titles such as Genshin Impact. Completing the flagship experience is the Surge T1s signal tuner, which enhances cellular performance and boosts Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stability to keep the device reliably connected.

    Pro‑Level Photography, Effortless Creativity

Whether it’s fast-paced action or a carefully crafted shot, the POCO F7 is equipped with a camera system designed to capture moments with clarity and elevate them effortlessly.

At the heart of it is a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS, delivering high-quality images across diverse lighting conditions. Features like UltraSnap and Live Photo further elevate the shooting experience with speed, depth, and motion. When it comes to portrait photography, POCO F7 offers versatile 26mm, 35mm, and 52mm focal lengths, coupled with real light spot feature that gives your background a soft, beautiful blur.

Meanwhile, the new AI function, AI Beautify, further enhances image quality by refining tone, clarity, contrast, and brightness levels, bringing out rich detail across all scenes without overprocessing. To support the improved camera experience, the camera interface has also been redesigned for clearer navigation and a smarter user experience.

    Poco F7

Ultra-Bright, Ultra-Big Display Built to Keep Up

To match its flagship-level performance, the POCO F7 features a 6.83-inch 1.5K ultra-bright display that strikes the ideal balance between visual impact and everyday usability. With high brightness, precise touch response, and advanced eye comfort features, it delivers flagship-level clarity, comfort, and control.

For clear visibility even in harsh light, the display reaches 3200nits peak brightness and covers up to 25% APL, enhancing brightness across a larger screen area without being limited to HDR or SDR content. This is further supported by POCO’s Sunlight Display 4.0, which enhances contrast in real time for vivid, accurate visuals.

Built with both comfort and precision in mind, the POCO F7 is equipped with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light (Hardware Solution) Certification, TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free Certification, and TÜV Rheinland Circadian Friendly Certification, reducing eye strain even during extended sessions. Paired with 3840Hz PWM dimming, Wet Touch Display 2.0, and an ultra-responsive 2560Hz instant touch sampling rate, the screen adjusts seamlessly across different use scenarios, whether navigating with damp fingers or responding to fast-paced gaming.

Design That Moves, Build That Lasts

Introducing an all-new design language inspired by speed, the POCO F7 channels motion into form while staying grounded in durability. The device features a streamlined surface, a sleek CNC-integrated aluminum alloy frame, and a glass back cover, which together create a modern and dynamic look.

At the front, minimal bezels frame the display, achieving a 94.23% screen-to-body ratio, adding to the sense of immersion and visual flow. Complementing this, large-radius curves enhance ergonomics, offering a smooth and comfortable grip. Around the back, a blade-like neon flare camera deco embodies precision and a sense of motion, while a golden-angle tangent line divides the panel, creating a more balanced and harmonious look.

Blending geometric accents with a futuristic edge, the POCO F7 Cyber Silver Edition makes a bold statement. Inspired by the Cyber aesthetic, its mechanical-style overlay and prominent Snapdragon logo above the division embody the raw power driving the device.

Beyond appearance, the POCO F7 is engineered to endure. The reinforced structure offers bending resistance rated up to 70kg, reducing impact from accidental pressure. Combined with IP68 dust and water resistance, it’s built to remain dependable across unpredictable environments.

Vermosa Green Run 2025 cites gains made in sports, animal welfare and environmental sustainability

The fourth edition of the Vermosa Green Run is set to go off on Sunday, June 29 at the 750-hectare Vermosa Estate in Imus, Cavite with the 21K category leading the way at 4:30 a.m.

Following closely are the 10K category, which starts at 5:00 a.m., the 5K and 3K categories at 5:30 a.m., and the 1K Dog Run at 7:00 a.m. The event is presented by AyalaLand Estates and Vermosa in partnership with Pinoy Fitness.

Four years since its inaugural run in July 2022, the Vermosa Green Run has made its impact felt in the areas of its advocacies.

Starting off with a focused support of the environment and an advocacy for an active lifestyle in the wake of the pandemic that year, the Green Run chose the Haribon Foundation as its first beneficiary and spearheaded a high-energy return to foot races after a two-year hiatus.

Since then, the multi-level run has been staged yearly, attracting serious, leisure, aspiring and elite runners to the great outdoors of Vermosa Estate. It continues to push for an active lifestyle, the environment and sustainability, and now also champions youth sports and animal welfare. Vermosa Green Run participants have grown steadily each year, with 1,200 runners participating in 2022 and nearly 3,000 signing up in 2025.

This year, the Vermosa Green Run is inviting both runners and guests to actively participate in sustainability by bringing their used plastics to the Event. The plastics will be recycled and converted by Ayala Land Estates, Inc. and the Makati Development Corporation (MDC) into sustainable construction materials like fillers for concrete and asphalt, and other concrete aggregates that will build “green” sidewalks and fences in support of Ayala Land’s green development initiatives. Participants who donate will get a discounted rate on their Green Run registration.

The Haribon Foundation continues to be a Vermosa Green Run beneficiary in its fourth year as Vermosa Estate and Ayala Land sustain the planting and adoption of seedlings and saplings that continue to grow at the Kaliwa River Forest Reserve in Barangay San Andres, Tanay, Rizal.

For the third straight year, the Vermosa Green Run pushes hard for the Pawssion Project, a non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes stray animals. The Vermosa Green Run continues to raise greater awareness about animal welfare as it supports dogs through the organization, which has, to date, made over 2,000 rescues, rehomed 1,000 dogs, and provided shelter for 600 homeless dogs and cats.

Its support of young athletes from Takbo Kabitenyo, a non-profit organization for young runners from Cavite, also shows progressive results.

“Some of our young runners have consistently landed podium finishes at school-level, city, and provincial competitions. These achievements are a reflection not only of their talent but also of the discipline and dedication they’ve cultivated through training, and we thank Vermosa for allowing us to use their excellent sports facilities that provide our athletes with the competitive edge,” said Takbo Kabitenyo president Noel Diaz.

Diaz cites the standout stories of Vince John Marzo, a college student who ran with the relay team that won Bronze Medal in the 4x400m event at the 2025 NCAA Season 100 Track and Field Competition, and John Mark Balogo, who may get a spot in the National Track and Field Team after placing second in the 5000m final event within the same NCAA season.

“While most of our success stories are still at the local and regional levels, we’re laying the groundwork for future participation in national and international competitions. We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the opportunity to help these young talents shine on bigger stages through their training in the best possible environment,” Diaz said.

TrueLogic launches service to help brands stay visible in AI-powered search

With Google’s AI-powered search results rapidly reshaping how people discover information online, Truelogic, a leading digital marketing consultancy in the Philippines, has launched a new service designed to help brands stay visible and competitive. As AI-generated answers—called AI Overviews —take up more space in search results, businesses that rely on web traffic must quickly adapt or risk being left behind.

Truelogic’s latest study, “Navigating Google’s AI-Enhanced Search,” reveals that AI-generated answers — known as AI Overviews— are now appearing in more Google Search results than ever before. From 6.5% of Google searches in January 2025, they’ve grown to 13% by March. Some platforms even report that 8 out of 10 informational searches now include an AI answer.

    TrueLogic

“If you’re a bank, a school, a retailer, or a real estate brand, and your customers search online before making decisions, this shift in Google’s search can directly impact your visibility and leads,” said Bernard San Juan III, managing partner at Truelogic. “AI-generated answers are changing how people search and what they click. To stay competitive, your brand needs to show up in those answers.”

Truelogic’s research analyzed leading Philippine brand websites and uncovered key factors that increase the chances of being featured in AI answers:

    • Trusted  and well-known websites have an edge.
    • Clear, detailed content performs better than short pages.
    • Fast, mobile-friendly websites rank higher.
    • Being mentioned by trusted sources helps more than just having many backlinks.
    • Keyword rankings and page count aren’t as influential as they used to be.

“Forget old SEO hacks,” said Timothy Uichico, Truelogic’s head of search and analytics. “Google’s AI rewards quality. Brands need to be fast, helpful, and trustworthy— that’s what our new service is built to deliver.”

    New AI Search Optimization Service

Truelogic’s new offering helps brands adjust to the AI search era through:

23rd batch of Isuzu Heart and Smile scholars graduates from automotive servicing course

Fifteen scholars from Batch 23 of the Isuzu Heart and Smile Project (IHSP) graduated from a rigorous two-year Automotive Servicing Course at the Isuzu-TESDA Auto Mechanic Training Center in Tacloban, Leyte, earning an NC IV certificate, the highest qualification.

The educational aid project is a collaboration between Isuzu Motors Limited Japan (IML), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and World Vision. It exemplifies Isuzu’s commitment to uplifting underprivileged youth by honing their automotive servicing skills to advance their careers in aftersales service.

    Transformative Education with Proven Success

Established in 2008, the Isuzu Heart and Smile Project has since provided holistic automotive education to 436 underprivileged youth. The program consists of the standard TESDA curriculum for automotive servicing, with additional classes on Isuzu diesel technology and other pertinent topics, enhancing both general and specialized skills.

IHSP graduates can further their careers in the automotive industry, which Tetsuya Ikemoto from Isuzu Motors Limited remarked is making strides in the country. “The auto industry in the Philippines is growing every year, and more and more people are interested in working in it,” noted Ikemoto.

Posting an employment rate of 94.3% for all its graduates, the program proves to be a transformative educational experience. Among these graduates, 67% are employed locally, while 24% are employed overseas, and 3% are self-employed. Those working overseas are now making an impact in top global markets such as Australia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, the United States, and other parts of Asia and the Middle East.

With this, Ikemoto encouraged the new graduates to carry on program’s the track record of success. “We hope that through this project, graduates will be able to satisfy customers by demonstrating the skills you acquired in your training and contribute to the development of the company and the Philippines,” said Ikemoto during his address.

    Continuing the Tradition of Excellence

Following the graduation ceremony, IHSP welcomed 18 new scholars from Batch 27, who will train in automotive servicing until 2027. To inspire the incoming batch and offer a preview of the skills they will develop, current scholars from batches 24 to 26 conducted a special Skills Demonstration. Several students were also recognized during the ceremony for their exemplary performance in the IHSP.

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) president Mikio Tsukui expressed optimism about the scholars’ future success. “We are honored to be part of these students’ journey as they become professionals who can apply their skills for the benefit of the company, our valued customers, and society,” said Tsukui. “We look forward to their continued success—not only as key members of the Isuzu dealer network both locally and internationally, but also in their broader career pursuits.”

Seventeen years since the inception of the Isuzu Heart and Smile Project, the Isuzu Group and its partners continue to fulfill their commitment to communities and society as Your Responsible Partner.

Rainbow Fest 2025: Building bridges at PUP-Manila

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Manila campus transformed into a vibrant hub of connection and understanding on June 23, 2025, as the annual Rainbow Fest successfully showcased the talents of Manila’s drag community while fostering intercultural dialogue. This year’s festival drew a large and diverse crowd, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the wider Manila community, united by a shared commitment to inclusivity. The meticulous planning and enthusiastic participation were evident in every aspect of the event, from the sponsor and partner booths to the captivating performances by Manila’s celebrated drag queens. The atmosphere was electric, a testament to the power of shared experiences and the successful collaboration between the university and its supporters.

The central focus of this year’s Rainbow Fest was the dedicated sponsor and partner exhibition area. This space provided a platform for showcasing the contributions of organizations that played a vital role in making the event possible. Each booth represented a different sponsor or partner, offering unique opportunities for engagement and interaction. These booths provided information about the organizations, showcased their products or services (where applicable), and offered interactive activities designed to foster connection with attendees. The design and layout of the Rainbow Fest exhibition area were carefully planned to maximize visibility and accessibility, ensuring that all sponsors and partners received prominent recognition for their support. This strategic approach not only secured crucial funding and resources but also effectively integrated the sponsors and partners into the fabric of the festival.

Beyond the sponsor and partner exhibition area, the main stage of Rainbow Fest became a dazzling spectacle of artistry and performance, predominantly featuring Manila’s renowned drag queens. These talented performers captivated the audience with their stunning costumes, captivating stage presence, and powerful performances. Their performances served not only as entertainment but also as powerful expressions of identity, resilience, and artistic excellence. The energy and charisma of the drag queens were infectious, creating an atmosphere of excitement and celebration. The performances highlighted the significant contributions of the drag community to Manila’s vibrant arts and culture scene.

Rainbow Fest 2025 concluded with a spectacular fireworks display, a breathtaking spectacle of color and light that served as a fitting end to a day dedicated to celebrating community and showcasing the successful partnerships that made the event possible. The festival’s success is a testament to the collaborative spirit between PUP and its sponsors and partners, creating a vibrant and welcoming campus environment. As attendees dispersed, they carried with them not only memories of a spectacular event but also a renewed appreciation for the power of collaboration and the importance of celebrating diversity. Mega Prime Foods turns 50 with a bigger mission: Grow more, give more

For over 15 years, Mega Sardines has held its position as the Philippines’ #1 sardines brand. It has continued to dominate the market, commanding a 26% share in 2023.

Behind this success is Mega Prime Foods, Inc. (MPFI), the manufacturing and distribution company that has quietly built a powerhouse portfolio of Filipino pantry staples. From Mega Mackerel and Mega Tuna to Mega Prime Quality fruits and vegetables, Primo Sparkling Juice, and Jimm’s Coffee Mix, MPFI has steadily expanded its presence across categories, providing nutritious food to millions of Filipinos daily.

This year, Mega Prime Foods celebrates 50 years of freshness and nourishment, honoring a legacy built on uplifting everyday family life—from the Filipino dining table to homes around the world. A highlight of the festivities is the launch of an anniversary video with a song sung by celebrity ambassador, megastar Sharon Cuneta. She is also the face of Mega Milyonaryo, the company’s massive nationwide promo designed to give back to its loyal customers. With a PHP50 million prize pool, the promo serves as Mega Prime Foods’ heartfelt tribute to the millions of Filipinos who have supported its brands over the years.

“We became the number one sardines brand in the Philippines. Not because we had the biggest resources but because we had the biggest heart. We want to give back to the people who made our success possible,” underscored Michelle Tiu Lim-Chan, MPFI president and CEO.

Addressing the dynamics of working with family in a corporate setting, chief growth and development officer Marvin Tiu Lim emphasized the importance of open communication and mutual respect. He noted, “Arguments [may] happen because we’re all passionate. We want the same things, but sometimes in different ways. Our strong relationship at home and at work helps us manage disagreements and find balance between professionalism and being a family business. We’re agile and can make fast decisions because we trust each other and communicate directly.”

Doubling Down on Local and Global Expansion

As Mega Prime Foods celebrates 50 years of nourishing Filipino families, it is deepening its commitment to nation-building by taking Filipino excellence to the global stage. Speaking to members of the media, the company made clear its ambition to double the business every five years.

“It is an audacious goal—but one we believe is entirely within reach, because we are building with insight, scaling with discipline, and growing with purpose,” stated Marvin. “First, we’re doubling down on our roots: our distribution. With over 135,000 touchpoints nationwide—mga tindahan, palengke, groceries, sari-sari stores—we are present in the daily lives of Filipino families. We will make sure MEGA is even more accessible—abot-kaya, maaasahan, at tunay na pang-Pinoy.”

Aside from its local efforts, MPFI recently bolstered its presence in the UAE market, partnering with Baqer Mohebi Enterprises (BME) to make its products widely available in Baqer Mohebi Supermarkets across key locations in Dubai. BME is a leading FMCG distributor in the region. Mega Prime Foods products are also distributed in Canada where it is available at Costco Wholesale. Europe and the United States are also key markets for MPFI. He noted that their success has been due to the Filipinos working overseas.

“We’re taking MEGA to the world, aiming for 10% of our business to come from exports. We will bring Filipino excellence to every table abroad—not just as a brand, but as a source of national pride.”

Tiu Lim furthered that the expansion is coupled with a strategic deepening into the wellness space. This shift is underscored by the recent acquisition of Jimm’s Coffee Mix and the “Superfood” endorsement of Mega Sardines by the Medical Wellness Association (MWA). Known for providing added ingredients, ginseng, agaricus mushroom and korean ginseng, that have health benefits, Jimm’s Coffee Mix is a leader in the functional coffee brand category.  Meanwhile, MWA is a U.S.-based organization comprising the world’s largest network of physicians and wellness experts. Mega Sardines is the first sardine brand in the Philippines, and globally, to receive a MWA “Superfood” endorsement.

Beyond Business: A Heart for Service

Mega Prime Foods Inc. also marked its 50th year by highlighting its sustainability and community service efforts during its gala night celebration.

“Our commitment to sustainability is embedded in our operations. From adopting renewable energy and reducing operational waste, to launching the Mega Ocean Cleanup, we continue to act as responsible stewards of the environment, honoring our role in protecting God’s creation,” added Malcolm Tiu Lim, MPFI chief technical and innovations officer.

“We have been blessed, and because of that, we are called to be a blessing. That’s the heart behind the Mega Tiu Lim Foundation: a belief that every Filipino deserves access to nutrition and livelihood, so they can build better lives,” highlighted Mark Tiu Lim, MPFI chief spiritual and people officer.

Since 2019, Mega Bigay Sustansya, in partnership with Reach Out Feed PH, DOST-FNRI, DSWD, and DepEd, has served nearly 500,000 nutritious meals to over 1,000 children, resulting in measurable improvements in child health and nutrition.

Through the Mega Malasakit Mission, MPFI brings its advocacy to grassroots communities—visiting barangays across the country to deliver nutrition, education, and joy. These on-ground efforts showcase the versatility and nourishment of our products while building lasting connections with families.

Blancco and ITSDI lead the charge on end-of-life data security

As the Philippines continues to emerge as a key player in global IT and digital services, the urgency of secure data disposal has never been greater. From international banks and healthcare providers to local fintech startups and government institutions, organizations across the country handle massive volumes of sensitive data daily. Yet one critical area often remains overlooked: the secure erasure of data from decommissioned devices.

Blancco, the world’s leading provider of certified data erasure solutions, and its official Philippine distributor Information Technology Security Distribution Inc. (ITSDI) are calling on enterprises to make end-of-life data security a top priority. Without proper data sanitization protocols, companies risk serious cybersecurity breaches, regulatory penalties, and reputational damage.

    Addressing a Growing Cybersecurity Threat

The Philippines remains one of the most frequently targeted countries in Asia for data breaches. In 2023, cyber incidents involving a major fast-food chain and a government benefits provider exposed the private information of millions of Filipinos. The National Privacy Commission (NPC) cited negligence and outdated data disposal practices as major contributors to these breaches.

Since 2004, more than 124 million Filipino user accounts have been compromised, placing the country fifth in Asia for data exposure. As a result, regulatory pressure has intensified. Under the Data Privacy Act, companies face fines of up to 3% of their gross annual income and imprisonment for violations related to improper data handling and disposal.

“Treating data disposal as an afterthought is no longer acceptable,” said Vincent Sim, regional director for Southeast Asia at Blancco. “The final stage of the data lifecycle is just as critical as the first.”

    Why Data Erasure Matters

The Philippine IT sector manages a vast array of financial, medical, and customer data, with devices regularly cycled out due to modernization and expansion. Without certified erasure solutions, decommissioned hardware becomes a hidden vulnerability—subject to theft, unauthorized resale, or careless disposal.

Studies reveal that up to 67% of secondhand drives still contain recoverable data. In an environment with limited oversight and high equipment turnover, this becomes a serious risk. Many organizations, citing budget constraints or lack of awareness, rely on unreliable deletion tools that leave data intact and offer no audit trail.

Blancco’s industry-certified tools ensure total data erasure and provide tamper-proof reports to support internal audits and regulatory compliance.

Total Data Sanitization: ITSDI Security experts make sure that clients’ decommissioned devices follow Blancco’s data security protocols and get Blancco’s Erasure certification prior to disposal or donation to third parties.

Partnering for a Safer Digital Future

ITSDI, the trusted local distributor of Blancco in the Philippines, offers comprehensive solutions that help organizations integrate secure data disposal into their broader cybersecurity and risk management frameworks. Earlier this year, Blancco named ITSDI its 2024 Southeast Asia Distributor of the Year, recognizing ITSDI’s excellence in implementation, client support, and technical expertise.

“We are proud to recognize ITSDI as Blancco’s 2024 Distributor of the Year,” said Sim. “This honor reflects their deep commitment to securing client data and promoting certified data erasure across industries in the Philippines.”

From multinationals to SMEs and government offices, ITSDI supports its clients with certified tools, implementation services, training, and ongoing support to ensure no data is left behind.

Trust the Global Leader in Data Sanitization

More than just erasing files, Blancco’s solutions permanently remove all data and generate verifiable certificates accepted in audits and by regulators. ITSDI ensures clients’ decommissioned devices follow Blancco’s protocols, protecting them from leaks, legal risks, and compliance failures.

“Hackers and breaches are constant threats. The best defense is to eliminate the risk at its source,” said Sim. “With ITSDI as our Philippine partner, local businesses can confidently secure their sensitive data—making it inaccessible even after a device is retired.”

    Secure Your Data Before Disposal

For companies managing sensitive or regulated data, peace of mind begins with proactive action. Secure data erasure is no longer a technical option—it’s a business necessity.

HP and DICT partner to build an AI-ready PH

HP and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) are aligning efforts to build an AI-ready Philippines, focusing on technological innovation to support long-term national development.

The collaboration was a key focus at the recent Frontier Tech Trends Webinar, “Artificial Intelligence in the Workspace,” organized by DICT in celebration of National ICT Month.

This initiative comes as a growing number of Filipino workers are leaning in and harnessing artificial intelligence. The outlook mirrors findings of HP’s Work Relationship Index, which highlights that in growing economies like the Philippines, 76% of knowledge workers think AI will make their job ‘easier’ and 75% ‘more interesting’.

“That’s where our theme for this year’s National ICT Month comes in: Digital Bayanihan,” shared Emmy Lou Versoza-Delfin, Director of DICT’s ICT Industry Development Bureau (IIDB). “This is as much about inclusion as it is about innovation. It’s about making sure we all grow and adapt together—wala tayong iwanan. The spirit of bayanihan lives on in the digital age. It means helping each other understand, adapt, and thrive. It means creating tools, policies, and platforms that make life easier, not just for a few, but for all Filipino people.”

As a global technology leader, HP reaffirmed its commitment to digital equity. “HP is dedicated to ensuring the AI revolution benefits all Filipinos,” said Ida Evina Ong-Co, managing director of HP Philippines. “We’re delivering technology that is not just powerful, but also secure, accessible, and ready to help every worker and student thrive in a new era of work, and build a more prosperous and equitable nation.”

A Shared Vision for a Digitally Empowered Philippines

The webinar offered a practical introduction to artificial intelligence, with Idris Atakli, HP consultant and AI product strategist, explaining how the technology helps teams work smarter by boosting productivity and simplifying tasks. This is supported by solutions like HP’s AI Companion, a secure in-device tool designed to enhance productivity while protecting user data.

DICT complemented this outlook by highlighting how automation and digital tools are transforming industries and fueling economic growth. The department emphasized AI’s potential to improve public services, drive business efficiency, and create new employment opportunities.

Contrary to fears that AI might replace human workers, the reality on the ground tells a different story; one grounded in improving the process, and not in displacement. This shift is a simple but powerful truth: AI is not here to take over jobs, rather, it is here to enhance them. As businesses integrate AI into daily operations, it becomes clearer that the technology is most valuable when it works alongside people, not in place of them. For when it is used responsibly, AI brings out the best in human potential as it amplifies their ability to think, solve, collaborate, and lead.

The Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines (AAP) also shared how AI is used to help businesses innovate and drive economic growth. They emphasized that AI adoption can lead to increased productivity gains with fewer resources, foster innovation, create new revenue streams, forecast market trends, and shift to higher-value work.

    DICT
Michelle Alarcon, President of The Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines (AAP), discussed how practical AI solutions are driving innovation and powering economic growth

“Everyone should be looking at how to leverage AI. Right now, we’re all on relatively equal footing, so it’s the perfect time to start preparing—organize your data, refine your processes—so that when you begin using AI, your systems are ready to integrate and fully benefit from it,” said Michelle Alarcon, President of The Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines (AAP).

HP’s participation in Frontier Tech Trends, alongside DICT and AAP, reflects a shared vision for a digitally empowered nation. By championing inclusive innovation and digital upskilling, these efforts collectively support the development of a workforce that is not only prepared for the demands of the future but also empowered to thrive and lead in it.
