    Synology has announced the launch of two new DiskStation models, the DS1825+ and DS1525+, designed to provide compact, high-performance storage solutions for small and medium-sized businesses and professional users.

    “These two models offer a powerful foundation for data management and collaboration,” said Owen Liao, product manager at Synology. “With evolving needs for data management, they are perfectly designed to deliver business-grade performance, scalability, and reliability.”

    Provide superb performance and scalability

    To ensure optimal performance for demanding applications, the DS1525+ and DS1825+ come equipped with dual 2.5GbE ports. The DS1525+ can be easily upgraded to 10GbE via the E10G22-T1-Mini module, while the DS1825+ features a PCIe 3.0 slot that supports 10GBASE-T or 10/25GbE SFP+/SFP28 network cards. Both systems feature two M.2 slots, allowing users to create an all-flash cache or storage pool for high-performance workloads. In performance testing, the DS1825+ delivered SMB sequential throughput of up to 2,239MB/s read and 1,573MB/s write using SSDs, while the DS1525+ achieved up to 1,181MB/s read and 1,180MB/s write.

    Diskstation

    Both systems are engineered for scalability, supporting capacity expansion with the addition of up to two 5-bay DX525 expansion units.     TOYOTA GAZOO Racing PH Cup invites everyone to experience the thrill of the streets on May 24 & 25

    Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is bringing back the thrill of street racing on May 24 & 25 for Race Weekend 2 of the 2025 TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippine Cup (TGR Philippine Cup) season. The highly anticipated event will be held south of Manila in Villar City and marks the first time the racing series will be taking on the streets since 2018.

    The event is open to all. Interested attendees need only to register at https://www.tgrphcup.com/ to receive their pass. Admission is free.

    The race weekend will be held over two days, with Saturday heating up the track with the Qualifying and first Sprint Race of the weekend. On Sunday, the second and third Sprint Races will be held. There will also be Drag Races, and Car Club and Gymkhana Exhibitions on both days. Both days will be livestreamed on the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines Facebook and YouTube channels.

    Previously known as the TGR Vios Cup, the TGR Philippine Cup has held street races in Alabang, Muntinlupa City; Cebu City; McKinley, Taguig City and Pasay City. This will be the first time the street race will be held in Villar City. With their tight corners and long straights, street races have been a favorite of both racers and spectators, providing memorable wheel-to-wheel racing and exciting fan activities. 

    Eventgoers can look forward to adrenaline-pumping action on track while enjoying side activities, including vehicle displays and test drives, sim racing rigs, food concessionaires, original GR merchandise, and live entertainment. OPM powerhouses Rico Blanco and Parokya ni Edgar will be tearing down the stage on May 24, while Ely Buendia and Bamboo will be rocking it out on May 25. 

    There will also be special event-exclusive promotions on Toyota vehicles for those looking for a fresh, new ride during the race weekend. More details will be announced soon.

    Hapinoy (At1ndahan Inc.), a leading social enterprise dedicated to supporting Filipino sari-sari storeowners, has been selected as the Philippine grantee of the Google.org AI Opportunity Fund: Asia-Pacific. This significant regional initiative, launched by Google.org in partnership with AVPN and supported by the Asian Development Bank, aims to expand access to artificial intelligence (AI) training and tools for underserved communities throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

    The AI Opportunity Fund in APAC has committed a total of USD27 million to support 49 organizations across 15 countries, with a goal of training over 720,000 workers and 100,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The program emphasizes inclusive digital skilling and AI literacy to ensure no one is left behind in the region’s rapidly transforming economy.

    Hapinoy’s mission perfectly aligns with this goal. Since its inception, the organization has empowered thousands of women microentrepreneurs to successfully run and grow their sari-sari stores by providing access to upskilling, robust supply chain networks, crucial financing, and essential digital tools.     The SSS Taytay Service Office is located within the municipal government complex on the 3rd floor of Manila East Arcade II Building, Don Hilario Cruz, Barangay San Juan, Taytay, Rizal. It is ready to serve SSS members and employers in Taytay and nearby areas from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

    SSS president and chief executive officer Robert Joseph Montes De Claro announced that the opening of the SSS Taytay Service Office is a key part of the organization’s shift towards becoming more service-oriented. He emphasized that the SSS exists primarily to provide valuable services to its members and employers.

    The Taytay office is the latest addition to a series of new local SSS offices being established across the country. These offices aim to facilitate transactions for members and employers while enhancing access to SSS services.

    “We are very excited to open our new SSS service office in Taytay, Rizal,” De Claro stated. “This new office will bring SSS services closer to our members and employers in the municipality and surrounding areas, especially considering the presence of many micro and small businesses in the town. We are confident that this new SSS office will make a significant difference in their lives.”

    He reaffirmed that the new service office in Taytay reflects SSS’s commitment to reaching and serving its members and employers, regardless of their location across the country.

    Meanwhile, SSS thanked the local government of Taytay for providing lease-free office space to SSS and even shouldering the renovation works and internet connection for the new SSS service office.

    The SSS Taytay Service Office covers an area of 75 square meters and can handle more than 300 transactions each day. Members and employers can perform a variety of transactions at this office, including member registration, issuance of employer certificates of compliance, submission of requests for membership amendments, updates to member records (for example, simple corrections and the addition of beneficiaries), and compliance with the Annual Confirmation of Pensioners (ACOP) Program.

    Members and employers can also use the services offered by the service office’s e-center, such as My.SSS registration, accessing My.SSS services, requesting the resetting of password and recovery of user ID My.SSS member and employer account, and updating of employer profile.
