It’s only been a few weeks since Instagram added the video sharing functionality to the app. And if you have been using this feature, you would know that you could only share videos that were recorded through the app.
In the latest version of Instagram, users can now share videos straight from your phone’s camera roll/photo library. Instagram of course maintains it’s square format, so users still have to crop their videos. An editing function allows users to square-crop the video and even trim it down to shorten the video clip you want to share.
Another feature of Instagram version 4.1 is the straightening tool which lets you straighten photos taken with the in-app camera. This feature however is currently only available to iOS users.
The Instagram update is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
