Two years into the launch of its Download feature, Netflix betters the mobile viewing experience with Smart Downloads.
This update entails Netflix will automatically delete already watched offline content–as opposed to users previously having to manually scroll through the Downloads tab to delete items–as well as download the next episode of the series the user is currently watching, giving subscribers more time to watch and more storage space.
Smart Downloads will be activated once you are connected to a Wi-Fi network and can be turned off through the Downloads tab or app settings. The feature is initially available on Android and will see iOS roll out soon.
