ASUS Republic of Gamers has announced the ROG Cetra Open Wireless, an open-ear wireless earbud designed to deliver immersive audio while preserving real-world situational awareness. The earbuds are intended for gaming, music listening, and active lifestyles, combining low-latency wireless performance with an ergonomic, secure fit.

The ROG Cetra Open Wireless supports two wireless connection options: standard Bluetooth for broad device compatibility, and ultra-low-latency ROG SpeedNova 2.4GHz wireless technology for gaming applications where audio-visual synchronization is critical. An included USB-C 2.4GHz dongle enables this connection and supports one-way passthrough charging, allowing users to charge a connected device while the earbuds remain in use.
Audio hardware and tuning
Audio is delivered through 14.2mm diaphragm drivers with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating. This driver construction is designed to minimize distortion while improving clarity, producing crisp highs, deep bass, and a wider, more spacious soundstage compared to conventional earbud designs.

In Bluetooth mode, the ROG Cetra Open Wireless offers up to 16 hours of continuous playback on a full charge, with RGB lighting and on-board sound modes turned off and the microphone muted. Fast charging support enables up to three hours of listening time from a 15-minute charge.
