Imus, Cavite
Cavite is also home to some of the country’s oldest churches. Among them is the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Pillar, otherwise known as Imus Cathedral. The Cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of Imus who governs the whole province of Cavite.
The cathedral has its roots in the 18th century as a chapel created by the Augustinian Recollects, but this original structure was destroyed by an earthquake. The current structure was built in the early 19th century.

Enshrined within is the canonically-crowned Nuestra Senora del Pilar de Imus (Our Lady of Pillar of Imus) who is also the patron saint of the cathedral. The Diocese is said to host the longest procession in the province of Cavite.
Step inside to say a quick prayer and, if this is your first visit, make a wish and ask for blessings.
