ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has introduced its 2026 Strix gaming laptop lineup in the Philippines, led by the updated Strix G16, Strix G18, and flagship Strix SCAR 18. The new models feature Intel Core Ultra processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs, faster ROG Nebula displays, and upgraded thermal systems designed for competitive gaming, content creation, and demanding workloads.
ROG Strix G16
The 16-inch ROG Strix G16 receives one of the biggest updates in the lineup with a 2.5K ROG Nebula display capable of up to a 300Hz refresh rate. Configurations range from an Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU to an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus with up to an RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. Depending on configuration, buyers can choose between 16GB or 32GB of DDR5 memory and 512GB or 1TB SSD storage.
ROG’s updated Intelligent Cooling system combines an end-to-end vapor chamber, Tri-Fan Technology, and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal to help sustain performance during extended gaming sessions.
Pricing starts at PHP159,995 for the RTX 5050 model, with RTX 5060, RTX 5070, and RTX 5080 variants priced at PHP189,995, PHP209,995, and PHP319,995, respectively.
ROG Strix G18
The larger 18-inch Strix G18 targets gamers looking for a bigger display without stepping into the flagship SCAR series. It features the same 2.5K 300Hz ROG Nebula panel, an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU, 16GB DDR5 memory, and a 1TB SSD.
The ROG Strix G18 is priced at PHP244,995.
ROG Strix SCAR 18
Positioned as the flagship of the lineup, the ROG Strix SCAR 18 features what ASUS describes as the world’s first 18-inch 4K 240Hz Mini LED laptop display with more than 2,000 dimming zones and ROG Nebula ELMB technology. It is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, paired with 64GB DDR5 memory and a 2TB SSD.
The redesigned cooling solution includes a thicker vapor chamber, Liquid Crystal Polymer fans, and an updated heatsink to help maintain peak performance.
The ROG Strix SCAR 18 is priced at PHP439,995.
Features across the lineup
All three models feature tool-less access for RAM and SSD upgrades, Aura Sync RGB lighting, bundled ROG accessories, ASUS’ warranty package, and support for the latest AI-enabled gaming technologies. The Strix SCAR 18 also adds the AniMe Vision LED lid display for additional customization.
