Global PC hardware leader Lenovo has just launched a whole slew of gaming hardware under their Legion banner. From entry-level gaming laptops, all the way to the best the industry has to offer, The Legion line has everything for the discerning gamer who wants more from their gaming gear. Research has shown that the average age of gamers now is around 38. These are people who play, but also need their devices for work, doubling duty in the boardroom and the gaming den. Lenovo’s approach meets these two requirements by being “stylish outside, savage inside.” With subdued aesthetics and blistering performance, all their PCs meet what gamers of 2020 need and want.
The new line of Legion PCs have some core features that make them unique. Legion’s Coldfront 2.0 thermal management combines cutting-edge hardware and material construction, with software, to deliver exactly the cooling the user needs based on the situation. From an increased number of sensors to see where heat is building up, to vapor chamber cooling technology for optimized thermal dissipation, and new fan construction to deliver better cooling with less noise, the hardware showcases the current cutting-edge of gaming. Software control makes accessing all this technology both possible and simple, letting users pick cooling settings based on their needs.
Both games and work require great keyboards. The Legion series of laptops have TrueStrike keyboards that deliver great feel to keep you working or gaming at length, without the discomfort of traditionally mediocre laptop keyboards. Anti-ghosting, sub-millisecond response times, and n-key rollover mean you get the performance you’re looking for whether it’s for work or play. Keyboards on all Lenovo Legion laptops are coated to resist abrasion and the wear-and-tear from oily fingertips. They also feature full-sized keys and a number pad, plus a larger one-piece trackpad, full-sized arrow keys, and dedicated media keys.
Battery life optimization through hardware management, larger batteries, and Rapid Charge Pro mean great unplugged uptime, and charging that gives you a 50-percent charge in just 30 minutes of charging. Lenovo’s Q-Control 3.0 lets users choose from one of three settings, from low-power, low-noise, low-CPU speed, to performance mode that maxes everything out to deliver uncompromising performance.
