Smart strengthens Windows phone lineup, locks up Nokia Lumia 710, Lumia 610 and Lumia 900 coming soon

TechnologySmart strengthens Windows phone lineup, locks up Nokia Lumia 710, Lumia 610...

Nokia’s Lumia range of phones is hitting the Philippines, hard. While Globe has managed to grab the exclusive rights to the Lumia 800, Smart has gone ahead and locked down the Lumia 710, which the telco is now offering up for pre-order at their website here. Smart has also announced that it’ll also be getting the budget Lumia 610 and Nokia’s current flagship smartphone, the Lumia 900 soon. The Lumia 710 will be available to Smart postpaid subscribers via their limited edition Plan 1000, with a monthly amortization of Php 450 for 24 months. Curiously, Smart’s move to lock-up the Lumia 900 also rings a couple of bells with us in regards to their LTE deployment, as the Lumia 900 has an LTE version out in the US market that will theoretically work with their own LTE network. Will the telco announce the Lumia 900 with their LTE service? We’ll just have to wait and see.
