Oppo upgraded its award-winning HA-2 digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with new hardware and features and released it as this beautiful HA-2SE.
The HA-2SE DAC has an improved 32-bit Hyperstream DAC architecture featuring ESS Technology’s SABRE Reference series ES9028Q2M. If those numbers and letters mean nothing to you, it is basically the top-of-the-line chip for portable DACs giving the HA-2SE one of the best quality audio outputs out there.
Thanks to the improved architecture, the DAC now has a lower noise floor and a higher signal-to-noise ratio.
The HA-2SE has a USB input which works with most devices, and yes, it works with the iPhone 7, so if you feel that the extra Apple adapter gives nothing extra, this could be an excellent companion for your smartphone. Plus, it charges your device as you listen to music.
Apart from the USB port, it has two 3.5mm audio jacks that serve as audio inputs and outputs, and includes a high or low gain toggle and a Bass Boost switch.
