Google, today, announced the launch of the Knowledge Graph in Filipino.

The Knowledge Graph is Google’s growing model of the hundreds of millions of people, places and things that make up our world. With impressive technology and massive Google-scale computing, the Knowledge Graph presents information that’s relevant to your query based on this high-tech database. It makes research quick and easy as it summarizes relevant content to fit the topic you are looking for. It is an initial step to the next generation of search—Web 3.0—, which access the collective intelligence of the web and comprehends the world a bit more like people do.

The launch of the Knowledge Graph in Filipino will help users searching in Filipino see information presented to them in the vernacular right from the search results page.

First announced for English-language users August 2012, the Knowledge Graph has been made available to French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Turkish, and Polish users. Today Google is also announcing the expansion of the Knowledge Graph to Croatian, Serbian, Hindi, Slovak, Lithuanian, Slovenian, Persian, Catalan, and Latvian, as well as Filipino. The Knowledge Graph is also available on smartphones and tablets.

Google Philippines Country Head Narciso Reyes said, “We are pleased to provide even more tools to Filipino users to help them unlock information on the Web. Google has always believed the perfect search engine should understand exactly what you mean and give you back exactly what you want. We’re getting closer and closer to that vision.”

This service is now available to users searching in the Filipino language on google.com.ph.
