Omni-channel solutions provider NCR Corporation last week exhibited its newest lineup of integrated CxBanking software and hardware that aims to improve how financial institutions deliver services, reduce operations downtime, and enhance customer experience.
“Banks are under enormous pressure to innovate as customers demand amazing experiences when and where they want, and on a platform of their choice to interact with their bank,” said Yiannos Papadopoulos, vice president of NCR Southeast Asia Pacific. “This has led us to focus on the next generation of online and mobile services to complement traditional person-to-person interactions, creating an ‘always available’ 24/7 banking environment to ensure that banking customers have the flexibility and control in their hands to manage transactions wherever and however they choose.”
The newest members of its portfolio include the interior freestanding cash dispenser NCR SelfServ 23; through-the-wall cash dispenser NCR SelfServ 27; interior freestanding cash recycler NCR SelfServ 83; freestanding interior thin-client cash dispenser NCR Cx110; and the enterprise-driven software NCR Kalpana.
The SelfServ series boast proactive express recovery and self-repair technologies, allowing them to deal with any glitches on-the-fly to reduce overall system downtime. It features various multi-layered safeguards against both physical and logical fraud attempts, protecting cardholder assets from skimming attacks. The machines are also engineered for easy network management, configuration, and monitoring.
Meanwhile, the NCR Cx110 is its first-ever client to run with Kalpana, the brand’s enterprise software platform that enables cloud-based operations. Some of these machines will feature an Android-based open source operating system designed for ease-of-use, flexibility, and rapid deployment. Unlike its consumer counterparts, the Cx110’s Android-based firmware is coded to be tamper- and malware-proof.
“NCR continues to lead the ATM market in the Philippines with innovations that are critical to help financial institutions enhance customer experience, reduce operating costs, and increase security,” said Carlo Cruz, country manager of NCR Philippines. “Consumers and businesses want quick and easy access to banking services. Through our SelfServ ATMs and innovative omni-channel solutions, financial institutions in the Philippines will not only be able to offer customers fast, reliable access to their bank accounts but also offer banking services beyond traditional banking hours.”
