A brand new local startup is aiming to change the local ecommerce in the country.
Qarabao, a new online e-commerce platform, hopes to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) simplify their online businesses.
With Qarabao, online sellers can manage inventory, orders, payments, and deliveries. Businesses can also obtain sales reports and data analysis for more efficient operation.
The company likens itself toon the Philippines carabao, known for being’ very own all-around a hard worker that helps farmers till their lands the carabao, thus, the company name.
“Running a business is hard work, so we’re here to help businesses do the hard work. Qarabao simplifies managing your goals, we want to make businesses easier,” said Michael Tiongson, CEO, Qarabao.
Qarabao is subscription-based. A seller who is planning on setting up on the platform needs to pay a monthly subscription fee of PHP 490. But apart from the subscription, Qarabao collects zero transaction fees from users. The service will have three tiers of subscription: Standard, which is available now; and Plus and Premium which the company plans to launch in the third quarter of this year.
Some of Qarabao’s features include inventory tracking, order management, multiple payment channels, shipping management, customer relationship management, and reports analytics. In the near future, the platform will also launch an online store where sellers can create and customize their own stores. The company is also developing a campaign management service which will helps sellers promote their own products.
A beta version of the platform was launched last March and quickly garnered more than 700 plus users before the official launch of the platform recently.
