NVIDIA is powering VR+, the first virtual reality (VR)playground of its kind in the Philippines, which allows multiple people to play simultaneously inthe same game.
All 33 VR units at the venue, owned by VR Kings Amusement Inc., are driven by the awardwinning
Pascal™ architecture-based GeForce® GTX 1080 GPUs, which deliver amazing
performance, power efficiency and gaming experiences.
Newly opened to the public, VR+ provides multi-player VR games paired with specialised
somatosensory devices. Instead of merely sitting on a chair with a headset, players at VR+ get to
interact with the environment and one another, deeply immersing themselves into the game.
Players get a one of a kind experience without having to purchase expensive gear or acquire a
large space.
The initial target market are younger gamers because they are most interested in such gaming
experiences.
“Not many people have the luxury of buying VR headsets and games. With VR+, not only can
people finally get to try VR games, but they also get to do so with their friends. They will
experience games that will make them feel as if they are in a different place. No other gaming
platform can really replicate that feeling. We aim to make VR gaming the cool or hip thing to
do,” said Keith Ang, president, VR Kings Amusement Inc.
VR+ is located in a 245-square-metre facility at Unit 272-274 Level 2, S Maison, Marina Way,
Mall of Asia Complex 1300, Pasay City, Philippines.
“VR+ is leading the way towards giving gamers in the Philippines an immersive gaming
experience. And GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs are the ideal engine to power their VR games,” said
Simon Tan, director, consumer business, APAC South, NVIDIA.
