Taking the reins as general manager and country head of OLX Philippines is the brand’s former head of marketplace development, Giancarlo Bonsel. As GM, Bonsel will lead OLX’s expansion by improving user engagement and creating greater value and opportunities for casual and professional sellers. He takes over from founder and managing director RJ David who will stay on in the Board of Directors.
Raffy Montemayor, a former country manager of an international online hotel booking platform, will be supporting Bonsel as chief operating officer. His duties include managing customer support, business intelligence, sales, and category management.
Peter Koning will be the new chief product officer. He will focus on ensuring the timely delivery of world-class products and even better user experiences to ensure OLX remains up to date with international standards.
Cris Concepcion will be assuming the role of chief marketing officer. OLX’s former head of marketing and acquisition, he will lead strategic marketing investments and content initiatives to further grow the OLX user base and increase activity across all platforms.
Bit Santos will be OLX’s new chief technology officer. The former OLX head of product engineering will continue bringing his technical expertise to the brand.
Property 24 Philippines country manager Steve Santos rounds up the senior executive team.
“Over the last 10 years, OLX has evolved into much, more than just a buy-and-sell platform for Filipinos. We have created a global and efficient used goods economy. Through OLX’s platform, individuals are gaining access to additional income, goods, and services. This presents ‘win-win’ opportunities for everyone touched by our brand and contributes to building empowered communities through the connections we offer. Our new senior leadership team will push this transformation to greater scale,” noted Bonsel.
