PLDT KaAsenso encourages more aspiring “minigosyantes” (mini-enterprise owners) to engage in the Cyberya business by offering discounts and freebies for the first 1,000 subscribers.
Cyberya is the business solution from PLDT KaAsenso that allows users to surf the Internet for as low as PHP 1 for four (4) minutes. It is primarily meant to serve as a mini-business for owners, enabling them to rent out PC use and internet access on a shorter per-minute basis. Cyberya is comprised of a computer set-up equipped with a timer and coin slot.
Under the current promo, the first 1,000 subscribers to get the Cyberya PC unit on a cash-out basis will get it for PHP 15,499—that’s more than PHP 1,000 down from its original price. On top of that, subscribers will also get a free Samsung E1080 mobile phone and a ready-to-use prepaid PLDT Landline Plus SIM card.
“The free phone and landline SIM can complement the internet-rental minigosyo with a pay-phone service,” said PLDT KaAsenso product manager Jonathan de Quiroz. He added, “Now, there are more ways for the ‘minigosyantes’ to earn and help them sustain their mini-enterprise.”
Launched by PLDT KaAsenso in March, Cyberya units are now available in Metro Manila, Cebu, Cavite, and Laguna. Units will be rolled out nationwide within the year.
