US company Stratus Technologies has tapped Wordtext Systems, Inc. (WSI) as its authorized Philippine distributor for their fault tolerant solutions. The partnership was made official when Charles Fong, head of channels for Stratus, sealed the deal at WSI’s Makati headquarters.

Fong said, “Going with the most-experienced IT distributor in the Philippines was not a difficult choice, having been in this fast-paced industry since the 1980s ourselves.” For his part, WSI president Juan Chua expressed his gratitude at the appointment. “At WSI, we are always keen on bringing into our country best-of-breed, cutting-edge solutions and after careful study, we have found Stratus products to fit right into our strategy” he exclaimed.

Stratus’ fault tolerant technologies have been tested for more than three decades across multiple verticals and applications, ensuring system stability, uptime, and application availability on x86 platforms. Moreover, Stratus offers clients zero downtime and zero data loss for mission critical applications on Windows, Linux, and virtual machines.

The company’s solutions can be deployed either as the hardware-based ftServer solution or software-based everRun. The former is an all-in-one solution that includes hardware, software, and service that simplifies network management; while the latter is a downtime prevention software installed on x86 servers that allows applications to be run in a virtual environment in either a fault tolerant or high availability mode.
