In collaboration with its partner brand, Ducati, the Tudor Fastrider Black Shield was launched alongside the Ducati Diavel Carbon motorbike on November 11 at the Shangri-La Plaza. The Diavel Carbon model and Fastrider Black Shield both sport a matte black finish detailed with red highlights, representing the power and virility of mechanics.
The Fastrider Black Shield presents a fusion of high-tech ceramic and muscle of a Tudor timepiece in one sturdy chronograph. Touted as a totally black timepiece, the Fastrider Black Shield comes with a monolithic, monobloc matt-ceramic middle case that just oozes appeal. Adding to its noble aesthetics is a bezel engraved with a tachymetric scale, making it a reliable wrist companion when you’re up and about.
For those into water sports and activities, the Tudor Fastrider Black Shield is waterproof to a depth of 150 meters (500 feet). What’s more, it comes fitted with direct-action pushers, a screw down crown in PVD-treated steel, and a scratch resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass face. Its case, clocking in at a 42mm girth, houses a self-winding chronograph movement with a power reserve of approximately 46 hours.
The Tudor Fastrider Black Shield is available with either a rubber strap or a leather strap with red stitching. It is also offered in a version combining the matt black of the case and dial with a bronze tint on the hands and hour-markers.
