Filipinos traveling abroad this holiday season can get discounted travel eSIM data packs through Smart Travē, Smart’s travel connectivity app covering more than 100 destinations worldwide.
The Smart-backed service combines international eSIM connectivity with access to Smart’s local customer support. Travelers who need assistance while abroad can contact the Smart hotline rather than relying solely on support from an international eSIM provider.
LOWER DATA RATES FOR HOLIDAY TRAVEL
Smart Travē is offering discounted data packs in time for the busy year-end travel season.
The 3GB pack is priced at USD5.75, down from USD10, while the 10GB pack costs USD12, compared with its previous USD20 rate. A 1GB pack intended for lighter browsing is also available for USD3.
The packages can be used across supported destinations, whether travelers are heading to Japan or Hong Kong for the holidays, visiting European Christmas markets, or spending a year-end break in Thailand, Vietnam, or Singapore.
ESIM CONNECTIVITY WITHOUT A PHYSICAL SIM
Smart Travē lets users choose their destination, select a preferred data package, purchase it through the app, and activate the eSIM on a compatible device.
This removes the need to find and purchase a physical SIM card upon arrival or depend primarily on public Wi-Fi while traveling.
For many travelers, mobile data has become part of the basic travel toolkit. It can be used for maps and navigation, ride-hailing, flight and transport updates, hotel reservations, digital boarding passes, travel documents, translation tools, and searches for nearby restaurants and attractions.
