LG Electronics and Google rolled out the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style, the first wearables to come preloaded with the new Android Wear 2.0 operating system last February 10.
Both the Sport and Style models are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processors, and have the Google Assistant built into the system. They also support Android Pay with near field communication.
By having Android Wear 2.0 pre-loaded, users can easily control their smartwatches using voice commands via the Google Assistant.
LG mentioned in an official statement that the LG Watch Sport in particular is a standalone smart device. It has 4G LTE connectivity and can run applications without the need for a smartphone.
The LG Watch Sport has a 1.38-inch P-OLED display with 4GB of storage with 768MB of RAM. It also has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and is IP68 certified dust and water resistant.
The LG Watch Style on the other hand has a smaller 1.2-inch P-OLED display with 4GB of storage and 512 MB RAM. It has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and is IP67 certified dust and water resistant.
