    applelogoApple has been announced by Interbrand as the Best Global Brand for 2013, ending Coca-Cola’s 13-year reign at the top.

    According to Interbrand, the tech giant is worth $98.31 billion, a 28 percent rise from last year. Google came in second, weighing in at $93.29 billion. While the value of Coca-Cola also increased—by 2 percent to $79.21 billion—the drinks company dropped to third position.

    Computing giants IBM and Microsoft made it to the top five. Meanwhile, BlackBerry has completely disappeared from the list, and Nokia, once the leading mobile phone company, tumbled from 13th place to 57th. Facebook, on the other hand, jumped from the 69th spot to the 52nd.
