Along with its flagship Lumia 920, Nokia also announced the Lumia 820 tonight. Playing the smaller brother to the 920, the Lumia 820 uses a smaller, 4.3-inch ClearBlack OLED WVGA display with an overall resolution of 800×480. This particular Lumia smartphone runs on a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor similar to its bigger brother which is paired with 1GB of RAM. Like the Lumia 920, the Lumia 820 is also wireless charging capable, and also uses the Qi wireless charging standard, so it’s a safe bet that it’s also capable of using the same wireless chargers as the Lumia 920. The Lumia 820 also allows users to change the shell of the body, which gives a wider range of color options for users. Unfortunately, the Lumia 820 doesn’t use Nokia’s PureView image technology, rather relying on a somewhat sedate 8-megapixel auto focus camera with Carl Zeiss optics, instead of the PureView sensor on the larger Lumia 920. There’s 8GB of storage on tap, along with an additional 7GB of storage courtesy of SkyDrive.
