Taipei Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), the global leading provider of motherboards, mini PCs, notebooks, mobile devices, and smart city solutions, revealed the latest ultra-small and power-efficient mini PC, the LIVA Q1A/ Q1A Plus. The size is only 74 x 74x 34.6 mm, just as light as a mouse yet with desktop performance.
LIVA Q1A features quad-core Rockchip SoC and Q1A Plus features quad and dual-core Rockchip SoC. It can save 15% of power consumption but increase 50% of performance. Designed with an ARM-based CPU and the aluminum CPU heat sink, the LIVA Q1A series can keep cool without a fan. The fanless design makes it silent and energy-saving. The LIVA Q1A series supports up to 4K resolution, HDMI CEC remote control function, Android system, and open SDK. The LIVA Q1A series is tiny enough to mount in any limited space and suitable for a variety of digital signage applications such as in shopping malls, smart classrooms, transportation, hotels, and healthcare centers.
Multiple high performances CPU
LIVA Q1A is powered by Rockchip RK3288 up to 1.6GHz quad-core Cortex A17 while LIVA Q1A Plus integrated with two kinds of Rockchip RK3399. One is dual-core Cortex-A72, which is up to 1.8GHz and the other is quad-core Cortex-A53. The CPU will run A53 for low power consumption. If the application needs more computing power, A72 CPU will increase performance by 50%, which can decrease power consumption.
4K visual experiences
The LIVA Q1A series is equipped with multiple ports. Q1A features 1 Micro USB, 3 USB 2.0, 1 HDMI 2.0, and 1 Gigabit Lan. LIVA Q1A Plus is equipped with 2 USB Gen1 x 1, 1 HDMI 2.0, and 1 DisplayPort 1.2 that supports dual display up to 4K resolution for a high quality of visual experience, which is the perfect fit for retail sales promotion or a healthcare information board.
Better usability with HDMI CEC
The latest LIVA mini PC Q1A/Q1A Plus support HDMI CEC function via HDMI cable to a remote controller. Users can use the remote controller to switch screens on and off, which is suitable for digital signage applications. Hotels, hospitals, and public transportation can use it as a guide board.
Flexible platform for varied applications
As LIVA Q1A/Q1A Plus support the Android 8.1 operating system and open SDK, enterprises and companies are able to customize their demands. Retailers can use it as an interactive digital signage board, digital map guide, and self-checkout. For public transportation systems, it is suitable for use as a self-check-in kiosk or schedule board.
