HP Philippines officially launched the second cohort of the HP Innovation and Digital Education Academy (HP IDEA) in partnership with Pasig City and the Department of Education (DepEd), continuing its commitment to supporting educators through digital innovation, collaboration, and future-ready learning practices.
The HP IDEA program is part of HP’s broader social impact commitment to expanding access to quality education, strengthening digital equity, and empowering educators through technology-enabled learning and innovation.
Supporting Future-Ready Learning
“AI and smart technologies are reshaping how industries operate across the Philippines, including the education sector,” said Ida Evina Ong-Co, managing director of HP Philippines.
“Programs like HP IDEA help educators build confidence in digital learning, explore new approaches, and create more inclusive and adaptive learning environments. At HP, we believe technology should enable human potential, and through initiatives like this, we hope to help learning communities remain ready for the future.”
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto also expressed support for the initiative, emphasizing the continuing role of hybrid and digital learning in education.
A Global Community of Educators
Since its global launch, HP IDEA has expanded to 35 countries, reaching more than 70,000 educators and impacting over 1.5 million students worldwide.
“HP IDEA is a global community of educators,” said Svetlana Morozova, HP IDEA program mentor.
“Although every school context is different, we are all connected by one goal: to support each other, strengthen learning, and create meaningful innovation in schools. Through innovation and collaboration, we can make a meaningful impact in schools and communities.”
Turning Challenges Into Innovation
Over the course of the program, participating schools will work collaboratively to identify challenges within their own learning environments and develop innovation projects that address areas such as literacy, student engagement, collaboration, and digital learning practices.
