    For years, Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) has made it a priority to give back to community. Further strengthening their vocation, the car manufacturer has partnered with Jacobo Z. Gonzales School of Design and Trades, a Tesda accredited training center. The contract signing ceremony was held in Biñan, Laguna last July 3.

    The partnership is said to benefit the school’s automotive students as sponsored training sessions will be part of the curriculum. After the training duration, a certificates will be be given to the students by the IPC technical team. The training will start on July and will continuously run on a cycled scheme; as long as automotive courses are offered in the school, continued support is expected. Also part of the partnership is IPC’s donation of 3 diesel engines.

    Jacobo school has been around for almost 57 and has been  proudly  offering vocational courses throughout the  years. The school’s vocational administrator, Benito Reyes said that the  school always seeks after  quality training. In as much as it can, Reyes said, the school would like to deepen its partnerships with companies like Isuzu its students to be exposed to latest practices, as well as relevant and deeper technologies in the market. Reyes further said that they are  very thankful that Isuzu chose JZGMAT  to be their beneficiary.

    Included in the partnership is the training of  school personnel of Jacobo. Prior to the contract signing, trainers who finished their classroom and practical training at the Isuzu Plant, also located in Bińan, were given respective certificates as well as small tokens . After which, a short school tour was conducted for the Isuzu executives.

    Hajime Koso, IPC president said “Our company has a stand that without progress in society, no business will grow. It is then our interest to contribute for the betterment of society”
