Sony’s Action Cam with optional waterproof case
Amidst the bulk of gadgets Sony revealed last week at their big launch was the Action Cam HDR-AS30V—a mountable and wearable video camera that features Full HD recording, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC support.
The Action Cam uses Sony’s Exmor R CMOS sensor, as well as its optical image stabilization system, SteadyShot. Its Zeiss Vario Tessar lens features a 170-degree field of view. It is also capable of taking stills at 12.0-megapixels.
With NFC support, the Action Cam can mirror photos and videos on Xperia smartphones, tablets, and Bravia TVs via One Touch.
Designed especially for adventure junkies, the device is dirt-proof and waterproof. The retail package comes with SPK-AS2 waterproof case that allows you to take the Action Cam as deep as 5 meters underwater.
The device is available in two packages: the Basic Kit and the Live View Remote Kit. The Basic Kit, which costs PHP 15,999, includes a VCT-GM1 headband mount, while the other package, which retails at PHP 18,999, comes with a RM-LVR1 Live View Remote that you can wear on your wrist.
Other accessories are sold separately, such as the AKA-DM1 dog harness (PHP 1,1500), AKA-CMH1 chest mount harness (PHP 1,300), and ACC-DCBX car charger (PHP 2,600).
