Something interesting (and intensely geeky) has once again fallen under our Hey-That’s-Pretty-Cool radar today! Thanks to the folks at Laughing Squid, we stumbled upon a Tumblr blog that attempts to capture the essence of selected films using only nine frames.
The blog, called 9 Film Frames, has only been around since March, yet it has already been able to distill 126 movies into nine frames each. Here are some of the films they’ve done so far:
A Clockwork Orange (1971)
Amelie (2001)
Blade Runner (1982)
Citizen Kane (1941)
Inception (2010)
The Dark Knight (2008)
The Godfather (1972)
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (2005)
Trainspotting (1996)
Eraserhead (1977)
Follow away, film buffs! And if you’re sucker for cinematography, you should also check out another Tumblr blog called Movies in Color, which features stills from films and their color palettes.
