Sony Philippines, a company that we all know for being a leader in technology and innovation, has partnered with the first ever world-class science museum in the Philippines – The Mind Museum. Sony, as it has been doing in the past, is continuing to support education, this time by providing the museum with its latest technologies in order to bring them closer to Filipino youth and their families.
The Mind Museum in Taguig is opening its doors to the public this coming March 16, 2012 as it aims to become the country’s center for the public understanding of science, enchanting visitors with its beauty and fascinating influence. The museum is a very exquisitely designed learning facility for anyone between the age of 6 and 96 that presents over 250 interactive exhibits in 5 main galleries.
Sony Philippines will be providing the museum with top-of-the-line gadgets such as Bravia LCD televisions, touch screen VAIOs, 3D projector systems, and a plethora of other state-of-the-art devices to make learning within the premises that much more enjoyable. The museum’s Hall of the 10 Most Beautiful Experiments, for instance, makes use of Sony Bravia Screens, while the Hall of Philippine Science features digital photos for its various topics. The Atom Gallery, also with Sony Bravia screens, employs Sony 3D active glasses and VAIO touch screen units, while the Earth Gallery operates with Sony’s 3D projection system. There is also the Life Gallery, the Universe Gallery, and the Technology Gallery, all of which use Sony’s equipment.
Many things can be learned at The Mind Museum. Visitors can view the 4.6 billion year history of the earth in a 12-minute 3D show, the history of the Philippines in a 6-minute one, the transformation process of DNA into complete organisms, the splendor of distant galaxies and astronomical bodies, the use of nuclear energy, the innovations of mankind throughout the years, and so much more. Geeks and non-geeks alike will be in awe at the entire experience imparted by the facility. The museum also has an auditorium, a laboratory, and classrooms, all for educational workshops.
The combination of Sony’s technology and the intriguing design of the museum will really cause guests to be pleasantly ensnared by the knowledge that lies beneath. They will be immersed in a learning process that has never been so fun, inspiring, and captivating.
