    LifestyleFoodRestaurant Review: Green Pastures

We all enjoy typical food like burgers, pizza, sandwiches, steaks and ice cream. I mean c’mon, who thinks about the calories when we can just savor the food? But, what about enjoying food without the guilt, even better, isn’t it? Comprising taste over health is not a problem anymore. Today, we give you a rundown of healthy eats.

    Green Pastures

Chef Robby Goco, who also handles Cyma, spearheads all the whole concept of Green Pastures – organic, fresh and local. In this restaurant, ingredients are sourced locally from local farmers and some are imported from Australia (i.e. for the meat), nonetheless, still organic. Customers are ensured of farm to table experience because the team personally handpicks the ingredients from partner farms and use these to create the nutritious and fresh menu.

Experience: Upon arriving, you will immediately be transported in a farm because the whole restaurant’s structure resembles a ranch – the wood installations, white picket fence, and some hanging pots of plants. To complete the look, the waiters also wear uniforms of cowboys.

To start off, they served Poke Bowl that consists of tuna poke, quinoa, avocado, kale, edamame, nori, 5-minute duck egg, sesame ginger lime dressing. This salad is just the salad that you might want to eat forever. All of the ingredients in this dish just complement each other. The tuna is fresh and in generous portions. You can really taste the freshness of the avocado. I cannot say a negative thing about this dish.

Next is, Nost to Tail Cauliflower Bowl, which is Roast organic black pig sisig with broccoli rabe, sesame oil, pickled onion, liquid aminos, 142 degree egg served with garlic cauliflower rice. You think you’re eating rice? No you’re not. The flavorful cauliflower rice is a good alternative to rice because it is more savory and has way less calories. This is my favorite dish because the meat really packs a punch. The touch of pickled onions as an alternative to our native calamansi is brilliant because it tastes even better.

Next is, Organic Mushroom Toast with sous vide egg, house made ricotta and cacciocavallo cheese. Go easy on this dish because the organic mushrooms have strong taste that others might find overwhelming. Nevertheless, this dish is great breakfast to start your day.

For the mains, they served Muscovado Baby Back Ribs, which is a slow roast baby back ribs served with citrus muscovado glaze. The meat falls off the bone. Yes, it is that tender. It is a great feast for the whole family.

For the adventurous, you can try their Strongman’s Kombucha tea infused with watermelon, lemon, chia seeds. This drink is known for its probiotic properties and for the guys, it increases libido. The taste is not absurd, it is actually delicious but it feels like you are getting drunk but take note that there’s no alcohol included. Well, maybe, that is the effect kicking in. Haha!

Writer’s tip: To anyone who wants to change their lifestyle, head on to this establishment. It might just change your life.
