Garmin has announced the Approach Z10, a compact laser rangefinder designed to give golfers precise distance measurements while extending the capabilities of compatible Garmin golf devices. The new model measures distances to the pin of up to 350 yards with 6x magnification and weighs less than seven ounces, making it easy to carry throughout a round.
Works with the Garmin golf ecosystem
The Approach Z10’s defining feature is Range Relay, which wirelessly sends measured distances to compatible Garmin smartwatches, golf handhelds, and the Garmin Golf app. Once the flag has been locked, paired devices display a laser range arc along with front and back green distances, giving players a clearer picture of the hole rather than a single yardage figure. Distances remain dynamic and automatically update as golfers move closer to the target, reducing the need to range the flag repeatedly.
Designed for everyday play
The rangefinder provides vibration feedback after locking onto the target, helping golfers confirm that the correct object has been acquired. PlaysLike Distance also adjusts yardages to account for elevation changes, while Tournament Mode disables slope-adjusted readings and activates an external indicator light to comply with competition rules. Garmin also includes a magnetic cart mount, Find My Rangefinder support through the Garmin Golf app, and battery life rated for up to one year under typical use.
Garmin Golf membership adds more course information
Players who subscribe to Garmin Golf can unlock Green Contour Data on supported courses, allowing them to view slope direction on putting greens. The membership also provides high-resolution aerial course imagery for more than 43,000 golf courses worldwide, helping golfers plan each shot more effectively before stepping onto the tee.
Availability
Commenting on the launch, Susan Lyman, Garmin vice president of consumer sales and marketing, said the Approach Z10 complements Garmin’s golf ecosystem by providing players with accurate pin measurements and additional on-course context from compatible Garmin devices.
The Garmin Approach Z10 will be available in the Philippines beginning July 7, 2026, with a suggested retail price of PHP18,290.
