Lalamove recently launched their advocacy campaign entitled Lalaligtas which aims to provide information regarding the importance of getting vaccinated to make deliveries safe for their champions on the road. Aside from constant reminders, they will also incentivize partner drivers who will get vaccinated through e-vouchers and raffle draws.
More and more Filipinos are getting the COVID-19 vaccine through mobilization efforts of Local Government Units across the country. With the continuous inoculation of segments A1, A2, and A3, delivery service workers are also being scheduled by their respective LGUs as they are categorized as economic frontliners within the A4 group identified by the IATF. Considering their partner driver’s safety as their #1 priority, Lalamove emphasizes the importance of vaccination and urges them to register with their respective LGUs.
Until October 21, Lalamove will be rolling out weekly raffle prizes with 20 participants winning PHP100 worth of Medpadala vouchers and 40 participants winning PHP200 worth of Medpadala vouchers. The grand raffle will only be open to participants who are fully vaccinated. For the grand draw, there will be one winner of a Kawasaki motorcycle CT150, 1 winner of a 50″ Samsung TV, 2 winners of Samsung A12 smartphones, 3 winners of PHP10,000 Puregold GCs, and 10 winners of SM GCs.
Vance Lopinac, one of Lalamove’s partner drivers, has already received his 2nd dose last May 14. “Nagpabakuna ako kasi kailangan kong maproteksyunan ang sarili ko dahil marami akong nakakaharap na tao araw araw. (I was willing to accept the vaccine because I need to protect myself from all the people I interact with on a daily basis),” he shares.
Vance shared that he patiently waited to be scheduled by the Makati LGU and he was prioritized to get inoculated given his medical condition. He also wants to encourage his fellow riders to register for the vaccine so they can have peace of mind when doing deliveries. “Kahit nabakunahan na ako, lagi pa rin akong naka-face mask at gumagamit ng disinfectant sa bawat transaksyon. Hindi lang ito safe para sa akin at sa pamilya ko, pati na rin sa mga cliente at pamilya nila. (Even though I got vaccinated, I still wear my face mask and use disinfectant for every transaction. This is not only for me and my family’s safety, but also for our clients and their families),” Vance adds.
