Through the PriceLOCQ app, the fuel discount partnership delivered relief to thousands of Filipino drivers and riders amid rising pump prices.

Filipino drivers and riders on Grab and MOVE IT have a little more breathing room at the pump. SEAOIL Philippines announced that its fuel discount partnership with the two platforms generated over PHP2.6 million in direct savings for transport network vehicle service (TNVS) drivers, motorcycle taxi riders, and delivery partners from March to April 2026.

The savings were made possible through SEAOIL’s PriceLOCQ app, which gave Grab and MOVE IT partners access to exclusive digital fuel discounts reaching as high as PHP8.73 per liter. The initiative ties together SEAOIL’s Kabalikat Mo sa Hanapbuhay campaign and the Grab and MOVE IT Bayanihan Fuel Crisis Support Program, a multi-pronged effort designed to cushion the financial impact of volatile global oil prices on transport professionals.

Grab reported mobilizing PHP350 million for the broader Bayanihan program from March to April alone, channeled through commission rebates, incentives, spot bonuses, and other support measures for its partner base.

Locking In Prices Before They Rise

The program works through two features within the PriceLOCQ app. The Top-Up Liter Balance function lets riders and drivers purchase fuel at current prices for future use, effectively locking in rates before they climb. LOCQPay, meanwhile, works as a scan-to-pay option that applies instant discounts directly at the pump.

SEAOIL CFO and president for retail business Mark Yu said the company sees the partnership as a direct investment in the people keeping the country moving. “By giving them the tools to lock in fuel prices and access significant discounts, we are saving them money at the pump and helping them secure their livelihood. These drivers and riders are the backbone of our economy, and we want to make sure they can keep moving forward without the constant worry of fluctuating fuel costs,” Yu said.

Every Peso Back in the Driver’s Pocket

GrabCar Philippines general manager Gines Barot said the milestone demonstrates what cross-sector collaboration can achieve for frontline workers. “Every peso saved on fuel is a peso that goes straight back to a driver’s family. By reaching this milestone, we’ve proven that when institutions in our sector and beyond come together, we can provide a real, tangible safety net for our transport professionals,” Barot said, adding that the company will continue looking for new ways to reduce operational costs for partners.

MOVE IT general manager Wayne Jacinto framed the partnership in terms of malasakit, or genuine care for others. “This partnership with SEAOIL is a strong example of that shared malasakit in action. By helping riders reduce their fuel expenses, we are helping protect their daily earnings while sustaining the essential mobility services they provide to Filipino commuters every day,” he said.

More Discounts on the Way

The three companies say the partnership is far from over. Plans are already underway for more exclusive “Super Sale” fuel events in the coming quarters, aimed at delivering even deeper savings for Grab and MOVE IT communities across the country.

For Filipino riders and drivers navigating an unpredictable fuel market, the PriceLOCQ partnership offers something straightforward: a few pesos less per liter, multiplied across hundreds of thousands of fill-ups, adds up to real money in hand.
