The Global Ka-Palawan Awards Nominees can be male or female. They also must have worked abroad for at least one year in any profession, and have a beneficiary claiming their remittance through PPS-PEPP or the PalawanPay app.
The nomination period runs from July 10, 2024, to October 10, 2024. 10 grand winners will each be awarded PHP100,000, and 20 finalists will receive a consolation prize of PHP10,000 each.
How to Submit Entries for the Global Ka-Palawan Awards:
Step 1: OFWs/Participants may submit their entries in the following ways:
A. Sharing a Facebook post of a photo of them working abroad or at a famous location or landmark in their host country where they are in.
B. Sharing a Facebook post of a photo of the OFW’s workplace or job abroad by the OFW’s relatives.
C. Scanning the official QR code of the Global Ka-Palawan Awards in any of PPS-PEPP branches nationwide by the OFW’s relatives.
Step 2: For those submitting entries via Facebook post, they must answer the following question in the caption, not exceeding 2000 words:
For the OFW: “Anong pinakamakabuluhang nagawa mo bilang isang OFW para sa iyong pamilya?” (What is your most meaningful achievement as an OFW for your family?)

Those submitting entries at any PPS-PEPP branch need to share a photo of the OFW they know working abroad along with an answer to the question, “What is the most meaningful achievement your OFW family member has accomplished for your family?” Their answers should not exceed 2,000 words.

Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) marked another significant milestone with the ceremonial handover of the IONIQ 5 N and Elantra N to the Philippines’ first batch of Hyundai N customers on September 7, 2024.
Customers gathered at Okada Manila to celebrate this significant occasion. HMPH president Dongwook Lee, HMPH managing director Cecil Capacete, and N Brand Strategy team manager Jeesang Kim were also present at the ceremony. Four Hyundai N dealerships—Hyundai Alabang, Commonwealth, Makati, and Pasig—officially turned over eighteen N units to customers.
The handover ceremony was highlighted by a drift stunt exhibition by Autocraft Drift Philippines at the Okada Manila Boardwalk. Following the successful launch of the Elantra N and IONIQ 5 N at the Manila International Auto Show last April 2024, this ceremonial handover marks the start of a new chapter for Hyundai N in the country. Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) inaugurated its New Training Center and Parts Warehouse, located at its Sta. Rosa office. Present at the event were Asian Honda’s general manager for Customer Service, Toru Chiba, Honda Logistics Philippines management, Honda Cars Dealership partners, and representatives from Dualtech school. HCPI management and associates were also in attendance to give their full support.
Plans for the facility’s transformation began last September 2023. This was part of HCPI’s vision to continuously provide the best quality service for customers through the empowerment and support of its dealer partners.
The inauguration started with important messages from Edipollo Anastacio (HCPI General Manager of Customer Service), Toru Chiba (Asian Honda General Manager of Customer Service), and Rie Miyake (HCPI President). This was followed by the official opening of the training center and parts warehouse with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a brief walkaround of the new facilities.
The New Service Training Center matches the standard set by HCPI for its dealerships. It includes a Honda workshop and an official Honda Merchandise Display Center. It is also the home of interactive technician training, enhanced by the latest technology for body and paint tools, and equipment. This includes a body aligner and a paint booth, meeting Honda Motor standards.

HCPI is proud to say that the layout of the training center has adapted to its Active Reception Process. Ford Philippines is bringing its experiential test drive roadshow Ford Island Conquest (FIC) to Davao and Cagayan de Oro this September, further expanding its presence across the country.
The Ford Island Conquest will be held in Davao City on September 13-15, 2024 at the Mall Atrium of SM Lanang Premier Davao with an in-mall display of the Territory, Everest, Ranger, Ranger Raptor and the Bronco. Customers can test drive the Territory, Everest, Ranger and Bronco both on-road and on a specially-designed track where they can experience the vehicles’ comfort, ride and handling, braking and other driver-assist features.
On the other hand, customers and car enthusiasts in the City of Golden Friendship and nearby areas will have the chance to see and test drive Ford vehicles at the Ford Island Conquest in Cagayan de Oro on September 20-22, 2024 at the Limketkai Center in Cagayan de Oro City. In-display are the Territory, Ranger and Bronco, while the Territory, Everest, Ranger and Bronco are available for test drive. A special driving course will also be available at the FIC in CDO to test the vehicles’ features and ride and handling capabilities.

Yamaha Motor Philippines set the bar for cultivating Philippine racing, and it goes beyond professional racers. The Yamaha bLU cRU Camp put together YCLUB Groups for the Mio Aerox and Sniper 155, as well as other racing enthusiasts, for a weekend that will help them develop their abilities, become disciplined in the proper ways of racing, and cultivate the racing community.
The Yamaha bLU cRU Camp riders were selected on June 15 after attendees were assessed on their training and performance. Those who qualified were taken to Cebu to further hone their skills and compete in their race. Their race standings would be carried over to the final round in Tarlac Circuit Hill.
At the Yamaha bLU cRU Camp, coach Joey Storm held a special racing clinic, sharing his experience of the racetracks to unlock the potential of every rider. They were also trained by Yamaha Philippines Racing Team Riders McKinley Kyle Paz and Gian Carlo Mauricio, which was a treat for everyone as they imparted the skills that made them shine in international competitions.
The Yamaha bLU cRU Camp ‘training day’ was extra rigorous because the inclement weather turned the Tarlac Circuit Hill into a slippery slope. But even with the downpour, the riders were able to tough it out and hone their abilities to adapt to different racing situations. The following day was their first test as they began their qualifying sessions, which will either put them in a great position for a victory on race day or a difficult situation.
On Raceday, pride was not the only thing that these riders were competing for because the top team and best rider would experience the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia to witness the top MotoGP riders battle it out.
The categories were Sniper155 and Mio Aerox for enthusiasts and Yclub members, respectively. An exhibition race was also held with professional racers, including Paz and Mauricio, as well as other top Filipino riders.
In the end, the winners were MIO Aerox bLU cRU YCLUB Race. Peter Paul Muñoz became the champion rider, and ACP TEAM NEO RACING was named overall team winners. In the Sniper 155 bLU cRU YCLUB Race, it was Laurence Kevin Cacal and the SNIPER 155 TEAM PAMPANGA. All were ecstatic with their victory and trip to Indonesia for the MotoGP.
