NVIDIA has been steadily chugging along with their 600 series graphics cards for both the desktop and mobile markets—and rumor has it that they might introduce their new line of graphics cards, the GTX 700 series, at Computex 2013 in June. This puts the 700 series a bit ahead of schedule as they were rumored to appear at the 2014 edition of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
What we know so far is that the card(s) that might be announced at Computex 2013 will also use the same Kepler architecture that the 600 series uses, based on a 28 nm manufacturing process. It won’t represent a giant leap in technology, but rather one that keeps it ahead of their main competition over at AMD. The card(s) will possibly have an improved Kepler-based design with lower power consumption and higher clock speeds. We also know that NVIDIA does plan to move to a 20 nm manufacturing process with Maxwell-based architecture in the future (possibly as early as 2014) to accommodate the next generation of graphics.
No specs or release dates have been announced yet for the 700 series, but you can expect more information to be available between Computex 2013 and CES 2014.
